Religion, state, right, wrong, what’s the correct way to do things? Are we supposed to force our own beliefs down people’s throat because a perfect God has ordered us to do so? Or is there something different that we must look at? Are we supposed to treat this subject as a matter of love or a call to war? Today we will look at Christianity and how to best go about being a Christian even at school.
Pray
Before you do anything in life and that means anything, ask God what he would want you to do. God answers and he answers in the most mightiest and mysterious ways. God can answer plainly or with subtleness. Whatever God’s answer is, you know what the right thing to do is. So, continually pray and never give up on God’s timing. Now, shoving down your own ideas to other people is not the correct way to go about it. It’s o.k. to invite someone to church and pray for them to get saved. But we as Christians aren’t called to change anyone’s mind, only God can do that. So taking on the responsibility of changing that persons mind into a Christian isn’t even something that we can do. We can pray, and God will be the one to change that persons mind but that’s it. This all revolves around choice. God gave us the ability to choose, why? Because he loved us that much that he wanted us the freedom to choose him or another way. We humans of course usually pick the other way. God knows what is good for us, so it behooves us to listen to him even the world may seem like it’s colliding on top of each other. This is why we must listen to him and not only that but he loves us why wouldn’t we want to be with someone who loves us more than our own mothers?
Read your bible
If you have any questions, of course, read the bible. You need to turn to God for every one of your needs, whether it’s spiritual, earthly, dumb, or important. God understands us and he sees what we see so don’t be afraid to ask him anything. God can do anything. Reading your bible will tell you when it’s appropriate to share the word of God and when it’s better to stay silent or you might want to ask your preacher when it’s a good time to share the bible they most likely know the answer.
School and Christianity
School is a great way to make friends. School is also a great way to share the bible. At school, you are confronted with numerous types of people from all different walks of life. Some people are ready to hear the word of God, others are not. Let God guide you to the people that want to hear it and God will put you in charge of spreading the good news. God is a god that answers so be vigilant and be patient. Of course the subject comes up when someone is atheist in the school and they don’t want to hear the good news? Well, to be honest with you, you are going to find a lot more people that don’t want to hear the good news than people that do. So the best way to go about this, is just act like a Christian. Say no to drugs, alcohol, tobacco and other sinful youthful lusts. Honor your parents, get good grades, and people will ask you if you’re Christian or not. And when you say yes, then they will know, whose God you serve. Sometimes just being Christian is good enough to spread the message other times it’s wiser to start talking but whichever way God has you doing, always be close to Jesus doing so.
