Four things Christians should do more

Christians should love God above all else and love your neighbors as their self. That’s what all of the laws hang upon. If you love God above all else and love your neighbor as yourself then there is no need for any of the other laws. However, since we humans don’t really understand laws too much we need an explanation and that’s where all of the laws come in. Let’s go over some of the things that Christians should be doing more often.

Praying more

            Christians should pray more often. Easier said than done huh? When we pray more often, we build our relationship with God because now we are communicating with him. God hears our prayers and is constantly trying to answer them back in the most holy way possible. It could be through a person, it could be through a life lesson, it could be through the bible, whatever form the wisdom comes from, God will answer your prayer if you pray with faith.

Fasting more

            To me, when we fast, it’s like saying to God, “here’s my body and I want to dedicate it to you”. God knows perfectly well what our intentions are and if we stay true to him there is no denying the fact that he will provide.

Read the bible more often

            If we read the bible, then we know the word of God. By knowing the word of God we can know what is the true will of God, what are his ordinances, what does he want from us? By doing so, we can fulfill the word of God to our utmost ability. God calls us to be many things, sometimes he calls us to be a preacher, sometimes a musician, sometimes a writer, sometimes a construction worker. Whatever path God has for your life, it’s the best path. So in order to know what the correct way to go is, you have to read the bible.

Give more to charity

            As Christians we can sometimes get into the mindset of receive, receive, receive. However, God calls us to give to the poor. It is a good thing to give to the poor because God would want us to do so. Giving to charity displays our love for God because God loves all people. Whether it’s your enemies, friends, brothers or sisters, God loves them all. If you show love towards another person who is going through a rough time, then God looks at that and automatically is satisfied.

I hope I share some insight today, as Christians we should do a lot more than just these things. As Christians, we should allow the Holy Spirit to guide us because it’s the Holy Spirit who shows us the correct way. thanks for listening this has been German Gonzalez
