Mental health and God

Having mental health issues is a problem that can be solved. Having a disorder such as bipolar, depression, anxiety, or schizophrenia is no easy task, but treatable: here is my input about how God ties directly with mental health.

He knows our thoughts

God has a supernatural mind: this supernatural mind can see what you’re thinking and see the future. God is the ultimate psychologist, psychiatrist, peer support specialist, therapist, you name it. It’s no wonder why he has angels at his side worshipping him day and night. This is the reason why we can confide in him with all of our thoughts. I don’t care how big or small your thoughts are, you can go to God and speak them to him. The best thing about praying to God about your thoughts is that he knows the right answer. God knows what to do all the time and you can trust in God that God will be good to you. You have to have a heart that’s set for him first though because there is a bible verse that says that mans prayers are an abomination to God and it takes the Holy Spirit to guide our words into the right words.

I remember that I was eating McDonald’s with one of my preachers one day and he asked me to pray. I was a young kid and he got all angry at me because I had prayed for something incorrect. I can’t remember what I prayed for but I remember when he taught me what I had prayed for I realized that it was incorrect; however, since I know that God can read minds, I know and can trust that God saw what I was thinking.

God knows what we feel

When someone hurts you, the first person that they trespass against is God. When you stub your toe against a rock, God is the first one that sees your pain. When you just don’t have any words to say because you’re so hurt, God has the perfect words. So God knows exactly what you’ve gone through and how to help; so, why wouldn’t you trust in him through thick and thin? God knows how our minds work.

God is a friend

What does a friend do? A friend is there for you no matter what you are or what shape you’re in. A friend loves like a brother and sticks closer than one. When you start to follow God, God becomes the closest friend that you could ever have. First off, God have his son to die for you: that is something that no man on this earth would do. No mother and no father would ever give their son or daughter to die for the sins of another person. What’s worse is that we are ungrateful at the fact that God did that. God does so much more for us too: God protects us, he provides for us, he gives us jobs, he let’s us graduate with an education.
