My church

Churches come in many shapes and sizes: some are big, some are small, and some fit you just right. Today I will talk about why I think that my church is so awesome.

My church is perfect

Church is a place to worship, teach, and develop our relationship with God. That is exactly what my church does. I’m not the kind of guy or Christian that believes in singing for hours and hours at a church service. I’m the kind of Christian that believes in listening to a sermon because that is what my soul needs. I don’t mean to offend anyone; therefore I say this with the most humblest of heart. I don’t mean to tell everyone that because you do so you’re a sinner. No! So this is what I’m going to say to you, pray about it. Pray that God might intervene in your life and show you the right way.

I just recently heard a sermon that said that God speaks. God speaks and he speaks through prayers. The pastor then went on to ask, “how many of us spend 5 minutes a day trying to pray to God?” The pastor then basically answered my prayers that I have been wanting to hear for a very long time. For the longest time, I knew that my prayers weren’t holy or developed or anything worth saying to God. So, I prayed to God to make my prayers holy to make them righteous. Sure enough, God responded with a lesson. The pastor then said to write down our prayer requests any chance we get. After you have written down your prayer requests, write down your worry list; after you write down your worry list, then move your worry list to your prayer list. He then said, “worry about nothing and pray about everything.”

So why did I just basically give a sermon on prayer? Well prayer will guide you towards a good church. Prayer will guide you towards the right way. In life; there will be times when we don’t know what the right way is; therefore, we should aim to pray to God for those moments especially if those moments include going to a proper church.

My church is imperfect

Imperfection is completely normal in all human beings. Just because you find something wrong at your church, doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the world or that you should move away from that church. Currently, I am going to a church that doesn’t really support some of the things that I do; however, I know that either way that I go, God will be the right one. The point here is to have faith in God and not in man. I believe that what the pastor preaches is good and true but it’s because I have read the Bible and I have seen that what it says is true. So, why would I give up my church just because of a minor infraction that they don’t believe in?

I remember once my mom said to me, “never go to church for the people but go to church for God.” You are there because your soul needs a refresher from the worlds influences, and not because you want to get entertained or socialize with other people. God should be your priority when going to church.

My church knows God

Above all else, I really believe that my church has God in their hearts at all times. That was my main concern when I switched churches. I didn’t want to go to just any old church. I wanted to go to a church where God was put on high on a daily basis. Where people would want him just as bad as I want him.

Well guys that’s it for this blog post as always stay humble, stay safe, may God bless you all and this has been German Gonzalez, signing out.
