My pastor

What is a pastor supposed to do? They are supposed to lead the sheep into a good place, take care of the sheep, protect the sheep. That is exactly what my pastor does when he preaches to us. He protects us with his words, he takes care of us with lessons, and he protects us by showing us God. Today I will talk about my pastor and why he is so awesome.

He is kind

Just recently he gave some words of encouragement to my friend and I. He said it’s such a blessing to see young men in church because there are many things that young men would rather do on a Sunday morning. He said that the fact that we chose church shows a sign that God is working in our lives.

When I was having problems with my mom, my pastor looked at me and he said, “take your mom out to eat one day!” I was so thrilled for some strange reason, and I didn’t want to be. I was angry at my mom, and I didn’t want to make up with her; however, that didn’t stop me from reacting the way that I was reacting.

I remember another time I had developed a really strong interest in God, so my pastor looked at me and he said, “ hey German, let’s do a bible study.” So I said sure let’s do it. And his plan was to teach me on a one on one basis more about the Bible and God. I thought to myself, not every preacher would do the same. Take time out of his busy schedule to teach a kid about God.

He goes to God

This should be first on the list. I know of pastors and preachers who don’t go to God when they are preaching. They try and sell their latest book or get people to give in the offering. My pastor has those messages but he seldomnly uses it. I think that I have heard him say one or two preachings where he preached about giving in the offering. I know that he is relying on God that God would provide for the church.

Well that’s it guys for this post. To be honest with you guys, I don’t know a whole lot about my preacher, but what I do know is that he is a Godly man who chases after Gods desires and seeks the truth.
