What I like most about my Sunday school class

I remember I was in Sunday school one time and the preacher said that it is a necessity for us to get God’s word in our system. This is so true! We need to have the word of God constantly being told to us because it develops our spirit and makes us closer to God. This is why Sunday school is so important. Sunday school teaches us the word of God, gives us a moment of fellowship, and worship. Everyone should look forward to Sunday school and should have their own personal reasons for liking it so much. Here are some of the reasons why I like my Sunday school class.

I like the preaching

            The preaching should be the first reason why I like the Sunday school class. I believe that what they say really is something that God would want us to hear, and it’s not just some person up there who is trying to make a quick buck.

            Just recently my preacher has given us a task of reading the books of first, second, and third John, and it’s really encouraging because it shows that he wants us to learn more about God on our own. My preacher wants to make sure that we are well developed Christians which is why he assigns us to read on our own.

            My preacher one time said to us that it is a fact that Christians tend to live longer and happier lives than non-Christians. I believe it because I am happy and I have faith in God that I’m going to live enough to see my grandkids.  

I like the fellowship

            There are a lot of good friends over at my church. Those friends help build me up to be a more successful Christian. I don’t mean successful as in like I have a lot of money, but I mean successful in the sense that I will pray more often, go to God more often, read the bible more often, and go to church more often.

            I remember I have this friend over at my church who encourages me to go to different church events and to attend church more often. It’s such a blessing to see him say those things to me because as a young dude you don’t see that kind of influence amongst young people too often. You often times see kids that want to drink, smoke, or go to parties; however, we as Christians know that it’s not the life to live.

I like the music

            The music at my church is often times old-fashioned; however, it’s a refreshing sound to my ears. I love the music that’s played at my church because it has lyrics that are glorifying God. The Christian music that is on the radio sometimes glorifies God but not all the time. Do not get me wrong, I love to listen to music that has drums and guitar and background vocalists; however, the more I tend to submerse myself with God, the less I am likely to listen to that kind of music. I do listen to Christian music that has those elements; however, I’m always careful to pay attention to what the message is. If the message of the song is not necessarily glorifying God, then I usually just switch it to something that does.             Well guys that was it for this blog post.
