I have had many favorite Christian songs all throughout my life. Ranging from Spanish rock to gospel, I listen to it all. I tend to work in eras; therefore, I listen to a song and if I love it, I’ll make that song my anthem for the next year. Here is my anthem for this year

The lion and the lamb by big daddy weave

This song is so strong because it worships God at every point. It worships God with everything that the band is. From their lyrics to the guitars, the song says it all.

“Our God is the lion, the lion of Judah, who’s roaring with power… our God is the lamb, the lamb that was slain, his power breaks the chains, and every knee will be before the lion and the lamb.” What beautiful words! I could listen to them all day. Every knee will bow before him?! How powerful is our God?

Why is this song important?

When I first heard this song, it was in a time when I didn’t have God. I hated to hear this song; however, my mom loved to listen to it all day long. So, I was forced to listen to it. There was something about the song that I just didn’t like. Now, I listen to the song from beginning to end with God full ablaze in my heart and I can’t help but to smile and tear up. I tear up because I’m filled with so much inspiration that it hurts me. I’m filled with so much happiness that it gets to me. I think everything is a masterpiece of that song. The melody, the guitars, the drums; everything!

I can’t remember the last Christian song I made my anthem, I spent so many years listening to ungodly music that my taste just died down; however, God had a plan for me to make me a strong Christian once again and this time, I stayed that way.

This song also marked a change in my heart. The reason why I didn’t like this song before was because Satan was blinding my eyes to the beauty of the song. He wanted me to not like it because it would’ve made me get closer to God. I also had a lot of worldly influences determining what kind of music I was going to listen to. When I heard this song as a Christian, I liked it so therefore I knew that God had changed my heart like he promises to do when we accept his son into our lives.

All in all this song is a great song. It is biblical, powerful, holy, and should be sung in heaven when we Christians get there. Thank you guys for listening again, may God bless all of you, take care and have a nice day. German Gonzalez, signing out.
