I was in High school when God changed my life. I had developed bad thoughts, habits, and way of life. So, God had mercy on me and started to lead me. God has the power, ability, resources, strength, wisdom, and knowledge necessary to lead you into a life that is good. The problem occurs when we don’t listen to him or don’t even seek him or his directions. Being guided by the Holy Spirit takes prayer, reading the bible, and going to church. Here is how to know where God is leading you.

Pray

God answers every prayer, trust that! No if, and’s, or buts. God answers prayer mightily. He answered prayers in the bible, he answers prayer today, and he will answer prayers forever; if that’s not enough to convince you that praying is essential to knowing God’s will in your life, then you have a problem with the heart and that problem can only be answered by going to church.

Here is a testimony of mine: when I was 6, I prayed to God to let me have a guitar. I prayed and I prayed because my parents would not let me have a guitar. So I said this, if there is someone who is wiser, stronger, and has more resources than my parents, it is God. So I never counted God out even though my parents had already said no to me in the first place. I knew that I wanted to play guitar and I knew that I wanted to give the guitar to God. So, after about 5 years when I was 11, my parents finally gave me a guitar. I know what happened, God happened. God had changed their hearts and minds into buying me a real guitar. So, I practiced that guitar until my fingers were shedding skin. I played from sun up to sun down and I knew that God was the one who started it.

Here is something else you don’t know, there was no guitar program in my middle and high school, until I got the guitar. I was in the first year of guitar students for my middle school. I had also prayed to God to give me free guitar lessons. So, I quickly enrolled in the program and sure enough I learned so much. I became a guitarist.

This whole circumstance changed my life, when all of this happened, I started to pray to God to let me succeed in guitar and sure enough, I was placed as first guitarist in my guitar ensemble when I was only a sophomore. My guitar teacher in high school IS a professional musician and she helped me so much to learn more about different aspects of the guitar.

I prayed to God every time I practiced and I am the best.

I’m not saying this to glorify me, but rather I’m saying this to show you the power that God has. Do you think that God knows that guitar? Do you think that he knows how powerful it is? Do you think that he knows what kind of person I would turn out to be if I had it? God was the one who made me an excellent musician, not me.

Prayer works

Read the bible

Reading the bible will tell you exactly how God wants you to behave, how to treat others, life answers, how you should get married, how to be happy, etc. etc. Reading the bible develops your relationship with God, and it’s important to have a good strong relationship with God because God is the best father that you could have.

I remember one time, I was in church and we were reading in proverb. I read what the proverb said and it said to listen to your parents because they will guide you in life. These are good words not found anywhere else in the world. God is the creator of good so trust in him.

Listen to him

When you listen to God, you realize just how lost your life was. You become more developed and responsible. When you go to church, you learn to listen to God and are strengthened by his word. So listen to God

All in all there are many things that you could do to know what way God is leading you. You could go to church, you could fast, you could read the bible and study it, you can pray more often. You can pray at every chance you get. So if you do these things, there is no doubt that God will understand you and hear your voice. Thank you guys for listening and may God bless all of you.
