If you’re new to Christianity or to reading the bible, reading the bible from genesis to revelation might seem like a daunting task. I would say that if you would like to read the bible from start to finish, then read it when you’ve become a spiritually mature Christian.

Once you have about a years’ worth of sermons under your belt and have already read a few chapters and books and have a few verses memorized, then yeah I would recommend anyone trying that task.

But for someone who is new to the Christian game, well the way that I would recommend is to read John first.

After you have read John, then it’s time to read the rest of the gospels, after the gospels, I would recommend the rest of the new testament, after the new testament read proverbs. Afterwards you can start reading the Old Testament from start to finish.

The reason why I say that you need a few sermons under your belt is because you will not understand a lot of sensitive topics unless someone takes the time to explain them to you. It’s absolutely important to know how God works before you start questioning him. (Not saying that you should ever question God almighty because he doesn’t need to answer us mere mortals)

IF you’re new to Christianity, then going to church is your best bet in learning more about God!
