How to stand up for God

God is awesome and deserves praise. Although we might want to stand up for God whenever we hear that Christians are being hurt all over the world, we must understand that God doesn’t need us to stand up for him. God is so powerful that nothing can harm him. With that being said, we stand up for God whenever we do certain things, let’s go over them.

Acting like a Christian

            When we act like a Christian, we stand up for God. Do you think that God looks down at a person and congratulates them for all their hard work if they continue to act and show that they are Christian even in a world that consistently denies and hurts Christians? Of course he does! What does acting like a Christian mean? To me, acting like a Christian means not cursing, drinking, smoking, listening to music that contains these elements. It means going to church, reading your bible, praying consistently, giving to the church, being a good friend to people, helping out the poor, being respectful and honorable to everyone, listening to instruction, being wise, being a hard worker, the list can go on.

Love God

            Before you can do any of the things above, you have to know that loving God comes first. If you love God, everything after that will fall in place. I know some of you are saying, “oh German that’s not living in freedom, that’s being a slave to God because then you would be a saint.” When you truly accept God into your life, you really don’t want to do any of the worldly things. I know I am a witness to this statement. I used to want so many dark and bad things and God was the one who had mercy on me and pulled me out of my own sin. You’re not a slave to God, you just live in freedom, it’s something that as a sinner, you’re just not used to.
