Which type of bible should i read?

I have no authority what version of the bible you should read. I personally believe that there is a single correct version that you should read, however, I cannot tell you that you have to read it. Some churches prefer the KJV others prefer the NIV some prefer the NKJV. I will tell you which one I read and the reasons for that so let’s get into it.

KJV

            I prefer the KJV version of the bible because of many reasons. The first reason why I  read the KJV is because it is what my church follows. I believe that my church really does follow what God wants so therefore I will read the version of the bible that my church reads.

            Another reason why I choose the KJV is because it is actually the oldest version of the bible that there is. I believe that the KJV version of the bible is the most accurate as to what was actually written centuries ago because it is the oldest. I know that the NKJV has different wordings than that of the KJV and so does different versions of the bible. I personally want whatever is closest to the original language and wordings as possible because this will give me a better understanding as to what God had originally wanted us to hear.

What Version should you read?

            Honestly if it was up to me, I would say read the KJV because I believe that it is originally the best version of the bible. I believe that the wordings are correct and replicate what God had originally wanted to say. I cannot tell you what to do with your life because it’s your life. However, take this blog post into consideration when choosing your bible. I know for a fact that many different denominations of Christianity, though they read different versions of the bible, all go back to the King James Version of the bible. Check with your denomination and see which one is the one that they read, I’m pretty sure that they will not say no to the KJV bible.

A little tidbit from me

            This is a sort of disclaimer here. I am saying all of this in the softest voice possible. I do not wish to offend or hurt anyone by saying this. I am just expressing what I believe and why I believe it. I say that if you want to get to know God more, then the getting to know God will push you towards the right direction, whether that’s reading the KJV or NKJV I don’t care, God will be the one directing you to the right direction.
