Believing in God is essential to our well-being. We humans need to understand and accept the fact that God is all powerful, everlasting, righteous in every way, good, etc. etc. So the question now is, how can I believe in God with all of my heart? As humans we are sinners and as part of that sin nature, we have the nature to doubt in God. This is completely fine. Everyone on this earth has doubted God at one point or another. I have doubted God and I’m not afraid to admit it. The point is that you don’t stay there. So, how can we believe in God with all of our hearts? Let’s dive into this subject a little bit.
Romans 10:17
Romans 10:17 says “so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” This means that we can have faith in God by just listening to his word. So, what do we need to do in order to believe in God? We need to go to church, read our bible, pray, and overall just submit to the word of God. This bible verse was written in a time where only the highly educated and prestigious people could read, which is why it says that it comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God. Also, this was during a time where information wasn’t readily available to people, people in turn weren’t educated not only because of that but because schools weren’t free and from the start things were rough. So, God made it easy for people to have faith in him. He said that it comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. So, if you want to have faith in God, then just go to church.
Believing can be tough sometimes
You can have all the faith in the world, however, there will still be times in your life where your faith will be tested. Do not fear! If you believe in God and are praying and are seeking God, then God will be the one guiding you towards him. God is good, so don’t fear of falling out of the faith or being a bad person. God will make you a good person but you have to be praying and going to church and reading your bible.
Story time: I used to have a job that paid me pretty well. I worked at that job for one whole year and to be honest by the end of that year, I had separated myself from God, not because of the job, but because of the money that the job had given me. The money changed who I was and made me worldly. In reality, I couldn’t handle having that kind of money. So, God took away that job, now I’m starting to make a little more money but God is so good, that he’s always blessing me with work. I love God so much for that. Anyways the point of the story here is that sometimes our faith can be challenged in odd ways. For me, my faith was challenged when things were getting “good”. When things were getting “good” I separated myself from God and to be honest that was a test that was scary. If I had kept working at that job, then for sure I would have separated myself even more. So, be on the lookout, if you ever find that you are hanging out with the wrong crowd and doing bad things, just remember, it all started with something “innocent.”
In conclusion, God makes it easy for us to have faith in him. We as sinners though always find excuses to not do the most simplest of things because we do not want God. After God has changed our hearts and minds is when we want him. However, we naturally seek to fulfill our lusts and flesh. Have faith in God, go to church, read your bible, pray every day, and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out.
