Where do I go if I need Help?

Do you need food? Do you need safety? Do you need a laptop? Do you need an education? Do you want to do good things in life? Are you tired of struggling and dealing with emotional battles that are obviously about God? Well you’re in luck! I happen to have the answer to all of your questions. Whether you need a laptop or food, whether you want a chance or not, whether you’re desperate for anyone who will help you, There is someone out there who cares for you more than anyone else…. And that’s God.

God provides

            When we trust in God with our needs and wants, we can rest easy knowing that God will be there for us even when things are going south. That’s the reason why I bring up the laptop. God knows what kind of necessity a computer is to people nowadays and he knows what kind of opportunities open up if you know how to handle one. So, if you want to work on computers as a job, then God can provide one for you if you pray to him. He can provide these things for you, somehow, someway, God will prevail.

God is safety

            God protects us from the bad things that happen in this world. God knows how dangerous this world is, so he decides to protect his people from the terrors and horrible things that this world has to offer. Sometimes it’s us who has to blame for what has happened, other times it’s out of our hands. But we know for sure that God is good and he protects us.

God is loving

            God knows that we have wants in our lives. Those wants are either good or bad they are never in a gray area. So, God decides to give us what we want according to his will. There is a bible verse that says, “If ye abide in me and I abide in you, then ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.” That was Jesus talking and he says that we can have whatever we want just as long as we’re abiding in him. This is great news because God will be the one providing for our needs and not ourselves anymore. Wouldn’t you much rather be provided by God’s hand than your own? God is richer, stronger, and more beautiful than anything that we could build on our own.

A word of Warning

            I know I said that God provides for us and it’s true, but we also need to work. We can pray to God all day long to help us build our lives but if we don’t work, then it is pointless. God will do the most amazing things with us but we have to put in the work, we have to pray, we have to look for Godly things and sure enough God himself will be made manifested unto us and he will be glorified, which is what matters most.

            God also works better behind locked doors. What do I means by that? I one time had a preacher who was preaching to me and he said that when he was a kid he was in charge of locking the doors at night so that way no one would break in. his mom had assigned him the chore and so he did it. One night as he was lying in bed he remembered that he had to go and lock the doors, however, he was so comfortable that he didn’t want to get up. So, he prayed to God to protect the house. And he prayed and prayed and then the morning came up and his mom saw that he had not locked the doors. So, She got mad at him and she asked him why didn’t he lock the doors? And he said because I prayed to God to protect us and he did. So then the mom said, it’s true that God does protect, however, God works better with locked doors! Don’t miss this. It is true that God will protect you from the worst, but if you go wandering into a bar at midnight, then don’t blame God when your friend drunk drives home and crashes. You can’t blame God for your mistakes is the main point.

            God will also not give us everything we want. I know I know I just said that God would give us our hearts desires. He will give us our hearts desires, IF WE HAVE A HEART FOR HIM. What do I mean? If we abandon our earthly desires and seek the counsel of the Lord, if we look and do our best to not sin every day, if we want God with all of our hearts, then God will give us what we want. Some of you are saying, but then that’s not giving us what we want, that’s giving us what God wants. Well what God wants is the best thing for each of us anyways, so why would we want something different than what God wants? Once we want God with all our heart and abandon our earthly desires, then our heart changes and then it wants different things, it wants the things of God.

            In conclusion, where do you go if you need help? You go to God. Do you need help with your math homework? God has mathematical knowledge that he would be glad to share to you. Do you want help in becoming a guitarist? God created the guitar and his hands are the fastest in the west. Do you want to become a doctor? God is the father of medicine. Or how about if you want a phone to stay in contact with your family and friends, go to God, if you want a house so you and your siblings can live in it, go to God, if you need food because you’re hungry?
