The straight and narrow

Broad is the path that leads to destruction, says the bible. As Christians, we need to chase after the path that is straight and narrow. A path the leads only to good. However, we cannot do it alone. We need a supernatural force to get us going to the right path because there are so many things that can happen to us that would cause us to astray from the good path. This is the reason why we need to chase after God first, that is the first step to getting on the straight and narrow. Anyways, let’s talk about how you can get on the straight and narrow.

Stop listening to all of that worldly music

            Listening to worldly music makes us think worldly. I know what you guys are saying, “but German, not all worldly music is bad” Well have you ever thought about what they really say? Most, if not all the time they are talking about sex, drugs, and rock and roll. They talk and curse and say worse things than cursing. Go ahead and listen to those pop songs, I want to see one that doesn’t talk about that kind of life.

            Also, it is in the bible that the only kind of song that should be in your mouth, is God’s song.

Start going to church

            When we go to church, we learn about God. We develop our relationship with God. We feed our spirit after a long week of hardships and pain that could’ve happened. I am a big advocate of people using their talents for the Lord, so use whatever talents the Lord has given you for him. I personally use music because that is my talent. However, God can call you to do a wide variety of things in life, so chase after those good and holy things that God has planned for you.

Get rid of all those worldly influences

            Right here I’m talking about those friends who don’t love God with the same intensity that you do. They can be poisonous to you because they could introduce you to a wide variety of bad things. Instead of chasing after people who could harm you, why not chase after those people who actually care about your well-being. Chase after all of those people who love God.

            Well this isn’t a huge list of all the things you should do to get on the straight and narrow, but it’s a start. The reason why I say to get rid of that music that is harmful is because in reality that is where it all starts with letting go of God. It doesn’t start with your friends, it doesn’t start with drugs, it starts with your music and bad conversations. Chase after God. Do not seek out the world because the world is full of bad things that lead to death. Thank you all for listening in on this blog post.
