My dream Girl

I think that marriage and relationships is just an extension of your relationship with God. If you have a solid relationship with God, then your relationship with your friends, family, co-workers and ultimately your wife or husband, will in turn reveal what kind of person you really are. Having your ideal girl in mind is okay to have, but never forget the things that God would like in a girl or guy. Anyways, here is what my dream girl would look, be, and sound like.

First and foremost, she would be a Christian who loves God with all her heart

            I can’t tell you how many times I have heard from my friends to not be picky when choosing a girl. However, that is not what my parents and pastors tell me to do. They tell me to do the exact opposite and to be picky and choose the right girl. I know that some of my friends mean good and they aren’t trying to hurt me, however, they are misguided. My friends are looking out for me, but in reality I want a relationship that will work in the long run. I want to stick with my wife until the day I die and I hope she feels the same about me. So, I know that a relationship with a husband and wife takes commitment, so I will look for a girl that loves God because then I would know that she understands what’s in a solid relationship.

She would be a hard worker

            Now before all of you start roasting me and telling me, “oh German is trying to get a girl to provide for him and do all of that stuff.” Let me remind you, that I seek to glorify God above all else. Seeking God does not mean sitting at home all day long while your wife works. No, it means working hard and getting up early on those days to work hard with her. It means helping with the kids and groceries, it means sacrificing yourself so your wife is happy, it means dedication and work and so much more. The reason why I say that I want a wife who is a hard worker is because it says in the bible that a virtuous woman is a hard worker as well. A virtuous woman will build her husband’s house just as much as he does. Very important disclaimer here: Fellas, you have to be a good husband as well, do not be bitter towards your wife but love her. Fellas be a hard worker, look to chase God, seek wisdom, seek kindness, seek love and you will go a long way.

She would be close to home

            I would prefer a girl who loves her parents and honors them with everything that she is. Why? Again the bible would say that a girl who is close to home is a virtuous woman. A girl who loves her parents and listens to them till the end of times is such a blessing. A girl that does not curse and seeks the goodness of God. A girl who seeks to make her house a beautiful dwelling, I think that would be a perfect girl.

A pretty girl

            Last and certainly the least important, is that the girl has to be pretty. I know I know that some of you are like, “German that’s not good.” Sue me! I want a pretty girl. But of course it’s the last thing on the list so it’s the least important.

            So, what do I want in a girl? I want a girl who is smart, wise, strong, hard-working, loves God above all else, loves me, loves her family, and listens to her parents. I hope that God would be merciful with me and provide a girl like that because I think I would be the happiest man alive if I ever met a girl like that.
