Friendships and God

Having a friend in God is something that sometimes only comes once in a lifetime. However, if we pray hard enough and believe that God can provide a friend, then sure enough, God will provide a friend. What exactly would be an ideal friend from God? An ideal friend would be someone who sticks by your side through everything. A friend who has your back through thick and thin, a friend who believes in God with the same tenacity as you do. So, let’s talk about what are some good qualities of a friend in God.

Believes in Jesus

            You can’t have a Godly relationship without God. God has to be in the midst of all of your endeavors no matter how big or small it is. So, having a Godly friend that wants to worship God with you is no joking matter. It is a blessing from above when you can find people who want to worship God with you.

            We are all social creatures, we need that human interaction with each other in order to survive and God knows that. Sometimes though, it is so important to be close to God above everything else that you will be alone for a time. You see when you become a Christian, God becomes your priority and in reality he should be your best friend. After that, you have your earthly friends who are nice and all but they are nothing to be compared to against God. Anyways, when you are close to God, you have to understand that the world doesn’t like Christians. The world approves of the world nothing else. So do not be alarmed if you get lonely and are Christian because this world has more of this world than of God.

            Do not let this discourage you from gaining friends though. There are good Godly people out there and you can find those people in your life. God for sure is powerful and he has the power to move lives around and get people close to other people, so always have faith in him.

Be a friend

            There is a verse in the bible that says, “there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” If you want a friend who sticks close to you, then you have to be that friend.

            I remember a few times I have had friends who were really close to me. They were my dudes and we had fun and we chilled out and we were the closest of friends but I know what a real friendship feels like, so give that same vibe to the people that matter to you and you will have gone a far way.

            I know I said be a friend, however, do not be a friend at the expense of betraying your God. Keep that in mind. Always be a friend, but keep it within God.

Ask God to provide for you

            When in doubt, pray it out. God knows who you’re compatible with and in all honesty he knows what you need. Do not be afraid of anything but rather, pray for everything. So, if you feel like you need a friend, pray to God for one. God has everything under control.

            Well that was my take on friendships and the Lord. In all honesty Guys, just maintaining in God’s presence alone will help you to get friends.
