How to wait for God

Patience is the key to a lot of things in life. You need patience to get your school degrees. You need patience to get a good paying job. You need patience to be a good musician. You need patience for a lot of things. Waiting on God is no different. When we pray for something, we can’t expect the answer to come right away, even though it can happen overnight, we have to keep patience well within our heart because ultimately that will keep our faith strong. Anyways, here are some tips on how to wait for God

Keep the end goal in mind

            If you are praying for something specifically, like maybe you’re praying for a spouse or maybe a job, then you have to keep in mind that God gives good things to people who wait on him. Good things come to those who wait, is what my mom always said. It’s true! God has an infinite amount of gifts that he can give to us and now it’s really up to us if we want it. We need to stick with God through thick and thin because if we do, then he will reward us openly.

Seek wise people

            So, what is wisdom? Wisdom first starts off with the fear of God. If you fear God, then you will become wise. However, wisdom is not anything else besides that. If you encounter a person that is without God, then it is safe to say that the person is not wise. So, when seeking wise people, it’s important to note that they must have God first. The reason for this is because the wise people who have God, will instruct you and motivate you to keep pursuing God even when it gets tough.

Ask God for help

            We humans are bound to fail at what we do on a daily basis. It’s a fact, so we have to ask a supernatural being, God, to help us to do good things. I am the type of Christian that believes that people are naturally evil. I’m not saying that you’re evil, but I believe that people would prefer to choose evil over good any day. Now, when we accept God into our lives or if we ever do anything good, we know that God is the one who helped us to do the good. This is why we have to ask God to help us to do this good that we are trying to do.
