What to do with your blessings?

Blessings come in all different shapes and forms. But there are some things that we should say about blessings. Are they really something that we want? Is it really a blessing? What should we do with the blessing? How can we better use this blessing to serve God? There are so many things we have to consider before we attack a blessing. Here are some tips as to what you should do with your blessings.

You should give it back to God

            Every blessing in the world comes from God. If it is good and holy, you know it’s from God. So, if God gives you something, in all essence it’s to give it back to him for his glory. If God gives you intelligence, then use that intelligence for God. If God gives you strength, use that strength for his glory. If God gives you anything, use that anything for his purpose. I remember back when I was first learning how to play the guitar, I prayed to God to give me that, and sure enough, he made me a guitarist. That isn’t the only thing though. God did not make me a guitarist or a musician so that I may sing about drugs, sex, and rock and roll. No, but rather, God had a greater purpose to all of this. His purpose was so that I may sing holy and good songs to him day and night. So ask yourself that question, “what has God given me?” “what can I use this gift that God has given me for?”

If you don’t have a gift…

            Be careful about saying things like this because God gives everyone something and to those who say they don’t have anything, more will be taken away. It’s in the bible. So, always be grateful for what you have, even if you think you don’t have much. There would be a whole lot of people who might like to trade shoes with you.

            If you want something, then pray for it. For God gives to his children good things. God only gives to his children good things. Asking God for help is nothing new to this world, there is even a verse in the bible that says, If you want something, pray for it. It also says, “How many of you, if your son asks for bread, will you give him a serpent? Likewise, if you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how good is the father who is in heaven?” Jesus said that. Have faith in God that God will provide for you good things, because he does.

            That is my take on what you should do with your gifts. I pray that God may show you the direction that you’re supposed to take in life.
