What denomination of Christianity are you?

There are many denominations of Christianity. To be honest with you guys, I do not really associate myself with any of those denominations. Why? Because they believe and do things that I both do and do not do. For example, over at my church, they are very conservative in their lives. They live a life that is humble but I sometimes feel like it’s a bit too much. They do not believe that women should wear pants for one of the things, but the women over there are always dressed nicely. There is one example of something that I do not believe in. Likewise, there are all sorts of things that all denominations believe and don’t believe what I either support or don’t support. Anyways, let’s talk about the church that I heavily associate myself with because I believe for the most part, they say things that are correct.

Baptist

            Now before I go into this, I know what you’re saying, “German There are all sorts of Baptists out there, which one are you?” Well, let me go over some of the things that I believe in shall we

The bible is the word of God

            Why do I say this? Some Christians believe that the word of God is something different than the bible. However, I believe that God left the bible so that we may learn from it and develop our own spirit through the actual words that God has left for us. I believe in reading the bible for developing a personal relationship with God. I believe in listening to what the preacher says so that way we can grow with God. I believe in the bible

Homosexuality and God

            I say all of this with the softest voice possible. I am trying to be nice when I say this, but I do not believe that homosexuality is good. I believe that God made man and women and made them together. Not man and man, not women and women, but rather man and women is what God made. Let me read to you a verse from the NEW TESTAMENT that supports my logic. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, “know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor exthortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you, but now ye are washed, ye are sanctified, ye are justified through our Lord Jesus, and the spirit of our God.” Do not get me wrong, no sinner will enter into heaven, homosexuality is a sin, but if you wish to accept God into your life, if you want God with all your heart, then God will accept you. You have to get rid of your earthly desires first though, God will help with that. So, do I believe that a homosexual can enter into heaven? No I don’t. But if that homosexual accepts God into their life, God will be the one to transform their life and ultimately, they will go to heaven.

I believe in the power of prayer

            Like I said above I believe in developing your relationship with God, what better way to develop your relationship with God, than to directly talk to him? God loves it when we talk to him because it shows a lot of things. For one it shows humility. You cannot go to God without a humble heart, why? Because God left it that way. As a matter of fact, could you imagine going to God with a prideful heart? It’s just not good. Imagine going to God and being like, God I demand you to give me a million dollars, does that sound good? No it doesn’t, because that pride is too sinful and you must go to God, our king, with your best voice possible.

            Well anyways, that’s my take on what type of Christian I am. In all reality, if you ask me what type of Christian I am, I would tell you that I am a Christian. Why? Because giving myself a title as to the type of Christian that I am is like saying that I am bound to this earth and it’s titles. I don’t believe in Baptists completely, I don’t believe in Anglican, Lutheran, orthodox, or whatever kind of Christian you know. I am Christian because I believe in Jesus and I know what the bible says for I have read it before. I have read a great deal of the bible and have seen first hand as to what it can do in my life. I have prayed and great things have happened when I prayed, I have seen that God can indeed work hard in your life. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and above all else love God.
