Where to go

As Christians, we want to think about where our feet are going. We want to think about these things because we don’t ever want to be put in a situation that would cause us to question our God. Not only that, but we don’t want to go to a place where God is not praised or welcomed. If you find yourself in places where you know for sure that God would not approve of, then it’s time to reevaluate the places that you go to. So, the reason why I’m talking about this is because God has been convicting me of the places where I usually go. Let’s discuss them shall we?

The gym

            The gym is a place to get stronger, it’s a place that doesn’t have drugs or alcohol, the people are nice, and a whole list of other things that make the gym not a bad place to be. However, the reason why I am questioning the gym is because I know of the things that go on in the gym and I do not want to be a part of it. I know for a fact that steroids are used in gyms and I do not want to use steroids. This is a reason why I am questioning the gym because I do not want to use steroids, but I also know that if I ever stick with it long enough, would I want to use steroids? I do not know, but I am sure right now that steroids are no good and I do not want to use them.

The arcade

            There is a really cool arcade that is close to my house. It has a whole bunch of video games and pool tables and even a bowling alley. The reason why I am questioning this place is because at the arcade, there is also a bar right next to where the food is. I am 21 years old and I am of age where I can drink alcohol. I have spoken with a few of my friends before about drinking and they want me to drink! Can you imagine that? They want me to drink with them. I do not want to drink or smoke or anything like that because I know that it’s something that God wouldn’t like.

Parties

            Going to a party is a big no for me nowadays because there are always all sorts of drugs, alcohol, and other things that go on that I do not want to partake in. It’s like when you get older, people say, you can’t have a party without the drugs, sex, or rock and roll.

            Ultimately, there are a lot of no’s in this life. I understand that in this life I’m going to say no to more things than what I want to say no to but it’s necessary.
