Godly Character

When going through life, you must develop a character that God would want you to have. It’s okay to have feelings of fear or nervousness or even intimidation, but God gives us a spirit of courage, hope, bravery, wisdom, intelligence, etc. etc. So, it’s important to obtain the attributes that God is because when we go through this world, we want to show people just exactly what God can do in your life. Anyways Let’s talk a little bit about what Godly characters God would want you to have.

Wisdom

God wants us to be wise. What are some of the things that God would want us to be wise about? God wants us to be wise to the devil’s evil ways. God wants us to dodge the firy darts of the devil because they are bad. Why are they bad? Just know that they are bad because the bible says that they are bad.

God also wants us to be wise in the sense that we should love him above all else. The first step towards wisdom is the fear of God. What does that mean? It means loving God to the point where you will do anything for him. Fearing God means that you fear him like you would fear a father. Why do you fear your father? You love him! It’s just that you know that if you do something bad, then you can get into trouble. The same thing happens with God. We know that God is our father and we have to heed his word because or else we will get into trouble.

Another thing that God wants us to be wise about is loving people with the same love that God has for the world. I don’t mean love the world, but rather, I mean love the people that are around you and love you enemies the same way that God would love them.

I could go on and on about the things that you need to be wise about, but you need to go in the bible and church and figure it out what kind of wisdom God wants you to have. If you find out in church that you are supposed to listen to your parents, then listen to your parents. If you find out that you need to pray every day, then pray every day. Just always make sure that it is the will of God that you are doing and not your own will. There are some things that God wants from us and some things that he doesn’t. However, the law and the prophets hang on this, love God above all else and love thy neighbor as thyself. –Jesus.

Bravery

God never gives a spirit of fear, but rather, he gives us a spirit of bravery to do the things that we need to do. There is a few good things to be said though about this bravery. If you sense danger, it’s okay to run away. It’s not like you’re going to go in the middle of the viper’s nest just because you were brave, no that’s where wisdom comes in as well. I mean bravery to face inner demons, bravery to go back to school, bravery to listen to the law even when it is difficult to do so. I trust that God will give you the bravery that you need when the time is right.

Strength

God gives us strength to live our day to day lives. Without the strength of God, we could not live. It’s that plain and simple. When need God’s permission to live on a day to day basis because without it, we just wouldn’t live. God also gives us the strength to be kind to that person who is mean to us. God wants us to be strong when there is injustice going around. God wants us to be strong when we are treated unfairly. This life is hard and in order for us to build ourselves from life instead of tearing us down is to hold on to God and pray that he gives us the strength to go through whatever it is that we need to go through.

Hard worker

God wants us to be hard workers. God has ordered us to work hard because of our sin nature, but even if we didn’t have a sin nature, God gave Adam the garden so that he can attend to the garden. That was Adam’s job, God himself was a worker, he worked for 6 days and rested on the seventh. God has ordered us to work, it’s okay to find something that you like and work hard at it.

Love

God designed us to love. I know that there are people who hurt one another, but we have to learn to love. Love because that is what God wants us to do. Love because it is the correct thing to do. Love because God loves and we should be godlier. How can we claim that we have the joy of Jesus when we don’t even feel love towards one another?

Hope

God wants us to have hope in our lives. Hope that one day this pain will be over. One day those who believe in him will ascend to heaven. One day God will gives us what we rightfully deserve. God himself knows exactly what we deserve and so we must act accordingly.

Faith

We must have faith in God because or else it’s like we don’t even know him. We have to have faith in the fact that he does give us what we deserve. God does bless the hard worker. God does take vengeance on enemies. God does see everything that happens and his will is going to be done. We need to have faith in that.

Why do I say all this?

God has so much for us in life and it is impossible to learn everything that there is in life. But God can make this world a whole lot easier for us if we just listen to him.
