Being a Christian in the free world is actually a great opportunity. I get to live a life that is free and the only thing holding me back is myself. Therefore, I must use that freedom in a responsible manner. I cannot misuse my resources, time, effort, money, or gifts that God has given me. Sure I could make a lot of money doing the things that this world does, but I could make God happy doing the things that he would want me to do, which is better? Let’s talk about Christianity in the United States, shall we?
Christianity is not dead
God is not dead, Jesus is alive, and Christianity is not dead. Let’s take a look at history for a little bit. In the early churches, the very first Christians were being persecuted for believing in Jesus. The Christians were thrown in jails, lions dens, stoned to death, and various other unfair punishments. However, there was something that no man could predict. It turns out, that whenever a Christian died, the people that were around that Christian, turned to Christianity. Imagine that?! The very same people who killed the Christians, would eventually turn themselves to the Lord. So, that is how the message of the gospel spread to all of the world. The very first Christians died unfair deaths, but the Good Lord had something even better for them. Our very own redeemer died a death that did not belong to him, how are we greater than him? We are not! I am not saying that every Christian is going to die that way. God also wants us to live for him. God wants us to live holy and peaceful lives.
What does that mean now
With the sacrifices that people make, you don’t really know what God is going to do with them. The next time you hear someone saying that Christianity is dead just remind yourself this, they thought that Jesus was dead too.
Christ in America
I believe that God has made the United States the amazing country it is because of the Christians who live here. God has blessed this country because there are people in this country who love him, serve him, pray to him, and always do their best to listen to what he says.
The church is present all over the Globe, however, every Christian really needs to commit himself to the Lord. As sinners, we can always use a little bit more of a nudge to get closer to God because our sin nature will always separate us from him. But we can strive to get closer on a day by day basis by reading his word, praying to him, being guided by him, and loving him.
Christ in the world
God loves every country just as much as the next. God loves everybody just as much as the next. So it would be unfair for me to leave this blog post without saying that God wants this world to love him. Everybody from Antarctica to Canada, from United States to Japan, God loves the whole world and honestly it’s all we need.
I highly encourage everyone in the world to pray to God to improve their country to the point where God himself is just shining everywhere that you go.
