Choosing God is a matter of spiritual warfare. It’s about fighting yourself so that you can get closer to God. There can be a lot of challenges in this life, but ultimately it’s not those things that pose the biggest threat to our faith, but rather, it’s our very own selves. So, if you have to fight just to maintain your Christian self, why even bother with something that is so obviously against your nature? Well today I will tell you guys why I choose God in my life, let’s start.

He promises so much

God has promised us the world to us. God has promised that if we abide in him and he abides in us, then we will ask what we will and it shall be given unto us. This isn’t to say that everything that we ask for will be given to us because our own sin nature guides us to want bad and sinful things, but rather, if our will is according to God’s will then we can be rest assured that God will give us the right thing at the right time.

here is a list of God’s promises

The biggest promise, in my opinion, that God has given us is the fact that if we believe in Jesus, then we will go to heaven. Going to heaven after a life full of difficulties and despair just seems like paradise to me.

Another promise that God gave us is that he promises to always provide for us. God promises that he will give us our needs and, not necessarily our wants. Yes, we can go to God for our wants as well, but we must face the fact that our wants will always come second place to the things that God wants for us in our lives.

The last promise that I’m going to mention, because there are so many, is that God promises to love us. How much more love does God have for us than our very own family? God truly does love us more than our very own family. It’s important to understand that God loves us no matter what. Even though things may look bleak, even though there may be problems, even though the world may look like it’s colliding on us, we have to know that God loves us and never doubt him.

His word is true

The things that God has said in the bible are things that are not said anywhere else. If you ever read the bible and study it, you will be aware at the fact that whatever it is, is indeed good. Not because you THINK it’s good, but rather, you will be aware at the fact that it is good because it speaks nothing but the truth.

A man cannot live on bread alone, but rather on the full word of God. –Bible. What do you think that this means? It means that the word of God is life. The word of God is breathing, living, life. Through the wisdom of God is how a righteous man lives, through the wisdom of God is how judges and princes decree their power. The word is the power that God has given to Jesus so that he may receive all glory and honor, not to say that Jesus didn’t already have power because he obviously did.

He is perfect

Everything that God does is perfect. From his storms that he brings on mankind, to the way that he gives life to a baby in it’s mothers womb. It’s intelligent, wise, smart, and oh so kind. This is something that I am having trouble swallowing because often times, I complain to God about my life but then I remember, what better do I know? I don’t know any better because if God has it this way, it is because God’s way is perfect.
