So, I am the type of dude that believes that if you want to get better at something, you need to practice at it and practice at it hard. I believe this is true because I have seen first hand what practicing does to someone. This also relates to prayers. I believe that the prayer muscle must be practiced on a consistent basis in order for God’s will to be done fully in our lives. God’s will is going to be doing regardless, but we need to pray for the things in our lives because it is good. I know some of you are saying that, “because it’s good” is not a sufficient answer, however, I believe that it is good to pray to God. There are more definite reasons as to why you should pray to God, but this is my blog and I answer the way that I want, anyways, let me share with you some prayers that I am praying for. This is one of my practices for praying, let’s start.
Dear Lord who is in heaven, hallowed, glorious, and wonderful is your name. You are great, you are holy, you are amazing. Lord today I pray for my jobs. I want to have a job where I am close to you. I want to have a calling that is close to you. I don’t want to just go along with the wind because I feel like that is not good.
Lord I also am praying for all of my relationships. I want to pray for the relationships at work and in my house and also my relationship with you. I want to be close to all of my friends and I also want to bless my enemies because that is what you ordered to do.
Lord give me the strength to believe in your holy word. I want to believe in your word Lord. Let there be no doubt in me for you Lord for you are true and everything that you say is true. I know this for a fact.
Lord keep me away from evil, all evil. If I have to endure evil, then let it be for your holy name. Lord I know that this world is full of sorrows, but I trust that the sorrows that I endure for you are the right sorrows.
Lord, help me to develop my songwriting skills. Lord I pray that my songwriting skills may become superior. Also, Lord I need help with my voice. I wish to have an excellent voice when I sing for you. Lord help me to practice singing Lord all the time. Lord I pray that I may sing for you for the rest of my days.
Lord, I pray that you may help me to develop my hooks because that is an important part in songwriting. I know how to develop hooks, but now it’s a matter of practice in doing the hooks more and more.
Lord, I pray that you may give me a wife. I really want a wife. However, I wish to have a wife who loves you Lord just as much as I do. Let her glorify you at all times. Let me glorify you at all times. Lord I pray that you may prepare us for marriage.
Lord I pray that my children may grow up to love you Lord. I pray that they may glorify you at all times Lord. I pray that you may make me an excellent father and an excellent husband.
Lord, I pray that I may graduate with my bachelors in something. I have so many hobbies and passions that now Lord, I will do whatever you want me to do. I pray that you may give me the resources to graduate with my bachelors.
Lord, give me the strength to go through all of life’s challenges and tests. I don’t want to fail you Lord. Lord I want to make you proud. I want you to think that you have done an excellent job at me.
Lord forgive me for all of my sins. I have great sins, little sins, and sins all in between. I pray that you may forgive me for all of them.
Thank you Lord for this laptop, my cellphone, my guitar, my voice, my lyrics, my blogs, my job, my friends, my pastor, my mom. Thank you Lord for all of these things. Lord I thank you for the food that I’ve been given. Lord I thank you for the life that you’ve given me. Thank you Lord for granting me so much. In Jesus Christ name I pray amen
