The good Lord has always been there for me. I’ll be honest with you the first person that I go to when I need something is the Lord. I pray about what I need and then I go and chase after it. It’s that simple. There is a reason why I do that, it’s good of course to pray for the things that you need, however, after you have prayed for it, you must start to work at getting it. I cannot expect money to fall into my lap straight from the sky because God does not work that way. However, I can expect that God will find a perfect job for me so that way I can work and provide for myself and my family. Anyways, let me share with you about how God has provided for me.
He provides jobs
All throughout my adult life, I have been BLESSED with jobs. I’m being serious when I say this. I have literally prayed to God for jobs and he has responded immediately with work that is good for me.
Here is a story for you all. I one time prayed to God to get me out of my old restaurant job. I prayed and I prayed and then I waited for his answer. Well January came around and I got assigned a partner for my Chemistry class. However, he didn’t show up for a few classes and then eventually dropped it and so I was assigned a new group. I met a friend doing so and I literally said to him this, man I need a job that pays 18 an hour, let’s me work part time, and lets me set up my own schedule. He looked at me and said, you want to work for my company? I said, “What company?” he said it’s a place where you work for 18 an hour, set up your own schedule, and it’s part time. I said sure, so then he set me up with an interview with his boss. I aced the interview and then I passed the test that was required for me to actually do the job. I started off slow I’ll admit, but then I worked my way up and I eventually won a few competitions in the company. By the way this was a sales job.
Anyways, my point is this, I trusted in God for this job, I held on to that promise, and before you know it, God had answered. It’s not saying that everything you pray for will come true, but it is saying that you can pray for the things that you want and need and God will answer in the way that he sees fit.
God provides resources
I have been blessed with a house, internet, food, clothes, a guitar, a voice, writing skills, books that will develop me, and so much more. The lord has provided all of those things and I couldn’t be more grateful.
A few months ago my boss actually got me to get certified in mixing from this course online that was super high class! It was so cool. I actually now know how to mix music because of those courses, they are such a blessing. I didn’t pay for that, but rather, God was the one who gave me it.
Also, God provided clothes just recently. I’ve always had clothes, but I needed new clothes because my old clothes were getting ripped and torn apart. I went to Wal-Mart and I bought myself some clothes. I know what some of you are thinking, “Oh German that is you buying your own clothes!” No! that is God providing clothes for me. Of course God knows that I need money in order to buy my clothes and that’s why he provided it that pay check. God is a good God and therefore he provided clothes for me. I am thankful.
God has provided skills for me
God has provided a set of skills that is unique to my own situation. God gave me the ability to play the guitar and sing and write songs and that is so powerful. I love God for that. God also provided unique writing skills for me so that way I can write in this blog. God provided me strength so that I can do the construction work that I’ve done in the past. God has done so much!
In conclusion
God provides! I know for a fact that God provides for me. I also know that God provides for everyone else out there in the world. Every single rock-star that you see, God provides. Every single baby out there, God provides. Every body Young, old, rich, poor, God is the one who provides what he sees fit.
