My personal beliefs

So, I’ll be honest here guys. I say this with a kind hearted and soft voice though, but I don’t really agree or believe in a lot of what a lot of churches believe. I’m sure that all of you have something similar with what you go through with your own church. I’m pretty sure that you and I have our own differences that we could talk for hours as to what is the right path and what is the wrong path. However, I feel like Christ would want us to be united. We are after all glorifying him.

            There are actually a lot of things in the Christian world that I don’t do because I’m afraid of the othersides story or what they believe in. Let me share with you what are some things that I do and do not do at my church, at home, and also out in public.

I do listen to Christian music

            I know that this world hardly has any Christian music that would be what my own Church likes and that I like. I have heard of a record label that has music that would agree with what my church likes, but frankly it just seems too frilly, too fluffy, too correct and not enough …. Fire if you will. I personally believe that a drum was meant to worship God, I personally believe that a guitar can worship God, a bass, a synthesizer, Why? Because it’s here for a good purpose not to use it however you want. Same thing with a knife. A knife can be used for good, chop up your vegetables and fruits, but a knife can also be used to kill someone, so like perverting things for our own purposes is what is bad but using them for God’s glory is what is good.

            Therefore, I listen to Christian music that has those elements. I listen to Christian music that worships and glorifies God but also has a bass, guitar, drum, and synthesizers. I don’t mind listening to major label Christian music, however, there is another side to this coin…

What I believe in and don’t believe in

            I don’t believe in the churches that these musicians come from. Some of their theology I personally don’t believe in because I think different. I again say all of this with a kind voice. I believe in what the “conservative” theology believes in. Like I don’t believe in drinking, I don’t believe in smoking, I don’t believe in gay marriage, I don’t support the lgbtq community. I believe that we were lost and going to hell before Jesus came into my life and saved me from it. I believe God is a loving God and that he will judge all of the sinners one day, and all of those that believe in him will be saved from hell. I know that most of you might believe in different, and I’m no person to tell you what the right path is because I just have no authority in your life. So, I pray, that you may pray about all of these topics. Pray for all of these topics and if you say to yourself that you don’t want to do that because it will convict you, well you know that it is the right way, right? Because if you pray for something and it convicts you, then you know that God is the one who convicted your heart and not me. So, don’t show me hate, but rather, pray to God to reveal to you what the right way is.

I do Read my bible and go to church and pray

            Well, I’ll be honest I don’t read my bible or go to church too often but I’m trying my best to change that because I want God to be ever present in my life. I don’t want the influence of the world to be in my heart, but rather I want God’s heart governing my life. I do pray, but not as often as I’d like to. Like I would like to pray right as soon as I wake up, as soon as I go to sleep, in the middle of the day, and any chance that I get, that would be ideal. However, I know that I have to start somewhere small first, so I’m going to try in the middle of the day first and then pray as soon as I start to write for this blog, as soon as I read the bible, as soon as I go to sleep, as soon as I write my songs, as soon as I go to work, etc. etc. I’m going to make the effort to do so because It’s GOD WHO WE’RE TALKING ABOUT. Haha. I had to put emphasis on that because if you’re going through the same struggle, keep making the effort to fight for the Lord because it’s JESUS WHO WE’RE TALKING ABOUT. I want to pray everytime I play the guitar and ask God to bless my guitar work because I know that he will bless it if I commit to him.

I do believe in listening to your parents

            I believe in listening to your parents because they will be the ones to help you out in life. There is no one who cares more about you than your parents. I know it seems difficult to believe but trust me they love you. So, love your parents in Christ. Parents love your children in Christ.

In conclusion

            I believe in what God says to me on a daily basis, I also believe in listening to his word in his bible. God left the bible on this earth for a reason and we cannot deny his word because it’s what gives us direction.
