Hey guys, just chiming in on your computer or phone whichever way you prefer. I am really liking my music. I am digging it to the max right now. Different people say different things about my songs but for the most part it’s getting favorable reviews. For this album, I have self-produced it so far, however, I’m not sure if by December I’m going to want to get another producer to help me finish the album. Anyways, let’s talk a little about what’s going on in it, shall we?

The Self-produced style works for now

Okay so I’m not the greatest producer in the world, but I’ll be honest, it’s not too bad as of right now. As a matter of fact, it’s coming out great. So far, I’ve made a rough demo as to what I want the songs to sound like once I release it. I’m going to finish producing it and then I’m going to mix them all. Remember how I said that I’ve started from scratch, well that’s true, and I also have a new song that matches my attitude.

I want to call it the Biography of Jesus, but that doesn’t roll of the tongue too well. So I’m thinking about changing the name to just Jesus.

So far what I’ve done in the song is I recorded two layers of guitars for the same rhythm and chord progressions, panned both of the guitars left and right and so it gives this really cool vibe that I’m so digging, gives it motion.

Like I said it’s not finished so I only have one snare, one bass drum, and one hi hat running as the drums. Since it’s not finished I haven’t added any transitions or anything like that. I do plan on layering the drums because I like that way that layered drums sound like.

I’ve layered a few instruments. I’ve got a piano, a pad, a lead, the guitars of course, and also some vocals. I need to layer the vocals some more though and then glue them all together using an EQ. I plan on making 16 tracks for the vocal choirs.

On to the mixing part of the production process. I plan on mixing it myself because, well I know how. Haha! I can mix it’s just that I have to play around with it a little bit.

Mastering: I plan on giving my song to my friend so that way he can master it. I know he’ll do a good job, I’ve seen his work before so I’m going to trust him.

Thank you all for listening in on this blog post. I hope that I have been an encouragement and inspiration to you guys. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, and subscribe and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!
