What does being blessed look like?

The Lord is so good. However, I can safely assume that people can pervert the way that being blessed looks like. Being blessed doesn’t mean something vulgar, it doesn’t mean something sinful, and it doesn’t mean that we’re going to get bad things. It does mean though that we are going to get good things. It does mean that the Lord has taken in consideration us and is willing to give us more. So, let’s talk about what being blessed looks like.

Being blessed is having what you need and not necessarily what you want

            The Lord knows that our hearts are deceitful and devise wicked imaginations all the time. The Lord however, is still good to us because he loves us so much and he understands us.

            So, being blessed is having what you need. It could mean that you have a bed, a house, food, clothes on your back, it could mean that you have a job, a wife, kids, it could also mean that you have a job that pays 18 an hour, it could mean that you don’t have hundred dollar shoes, it could mean that you’re not tall or big or strong.

            Be happy with what the Lord has given you because it’s all you need to get by in life. I know I know some of you are saying, but German I want to be a soldier, or a navy seal, or a musician, I want to rock the show every single night, I want to be an astronaut, whatever it is that you  desire, seek God first and he will give it to you. Seek him and chase after him with all of your heart. You do after all want to do it God’s way right? If you do it God’s way, you will never regret anything.

Being blessed is not something lustful

            There are verses in the bible that talk about how there are people in the world who are rich and yet are ungodly. So, this should not surprise us. If we see “bad” people, getting blessed, we should not look at that and say, “they are righteous”.

            There are good people, and bad things happen to them, so don’t be surprised when all you’ve done is good in your life and you can’t help but get bad things coming your way. It’s all life.

Lastly

            Being blessed is so much more than anything any of us could ever imagine. God has blessed each and every one of us because he gave us life. Life through Jesus Christ. So that way, we may live with him for all of eternity. If you have any questions about anything, go to God, pray to him, and trust that he is guiding you towards the right way.
