The world teaches us that there is more than one way to get into heaven, however, the bible teaches us otherwise. The bible teaches us that there is one true way to get to heaven, everything else is just lies. So, the gospel of Jesus Christ, what does it mean? What is it trying to teach us? How can we listen to God in an age of doubt? Well sit down boys and girls and grab a pen and paper and let’s talk about this for a second because this deserves merit and recognition.

The Gospel.

There is a lot of back story to the whole story of humanity but I’ll sum it down for the sake of this blog post. We humans are unworthy of getting into heaven. We are unworthy because we commit sin without hesitation. The sin that we do is what causes us to separate ourselves from God. Every sin that you have ever committed, from the tiny white lie to robbing that bank makes us all equal and makes us all guilty and deserving of death.

Now the good news. Jesus died on the cross so that way, we can enter into heaven. In order to get into heaven, we humans needed a redeemer to allow us to get into heaven. Because of Jesus, we can now enter into heaven regardless of the sin that we commit. And even though we may physically die, our spirits will go to heaven and one day God will take us away from all of this misery.

John 3:16

In John 3:16, Jesus was speaking and he said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus literally says that God gave his only son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish! Jesus is claiming that we all can go to heaven!

The gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These four people were writing about Jesus’ life when he was living. They wrote down what he did, some of the quotations that he said, basically a biography of Jesus’ life. If you read those gospels, you will understand what Jesus’ did in his lifetime. Ultimately, Jesus wanted us to love one another as he loved the world. Nothing lustful or angry, but love.
