Back to the basics

So, let’s start this new journey with the world with a few basics that I thought could use some really good reminding.

            So, the first thing that we need to talk about is our salvation. Why is our salvation so important? What is our salvation? Let’s talk about these things.

            So first off we need to address the fact that we are sinners and we need saving from ourselves. How do we know that we are sinners? Well, if you’ve ever told a lie, that means that you’re a sinner. If you’ve ever cheated or stole, that means that you’re a sinner. IF you’ve ever disobeyed your parents, that means that you’re a sinner. So, that basically narrows that down to everyone is a sinner. Everyone has sinned before and falls short of the glory of God.

            The punishment of sin is death therefore that is the reason why we all must die, because our sins need to be punished.

            HOWEVER, there is hope.

            God knew the severity of man’s decisions and the consequences were grave, so God decided to save man from his consequences. Therefore God sent down Jesus. God sent down Jesus as a way for the world to get saved. God sent down his son because there had to be a sacrifice for our sins otherwise we would go to hell. So, God sent down Jesus to be that perfect sacrifice and save us from our sins.

            Along the way of being a perfect sacrifice, Jesus demonstrated his power to the world and showed that he really was the son of God. Jesus taught and showed just how righteous his kingdom is and how righteous he is. He healed the sick and lame, He showed the right way, and left the final message that anyone who believes in him, will have eternal life.

What does that mean for us?

            That means that we can go to heaven! Isn’t that great? The good news to this horrible story of what is life is that we have a happy ending. That ending is that we will all go to heaven if we just believe in Jesus Christ.

            I don’t care what you’ve done in life, you could’ve been a murderer, a serial killer, Ted Bundy, if you believe in Jesus Christ, then you are saved and can go to heaven.

            That doesn’t mean that we can go and do whatever we want now. That means that we must walk in holiness and righteousness. God has now called us to walk in holiness and righteousness. That means that we can now walk with God and have a happy ending to our life.

What does Jesus expect?

            Jesus does not expect us to be perfect. Jesus does not expect us to be him. Jesus expects us to do our best every day to listen to his word and follow his word. Jesus knows that it is impossible for a man to do absolutely everything that was ordered by him by God, but Jesus does know that he gives strength to do the impossible and to be a man that loves God with all of his heart.

Conclusion

            So, in conclusion, we have hope. We can all go to heaven! The whole world can go to heaven. Let me tell you all something. God works! God is a powerful and hard worker and if you pray to him, he will answer. He will always answer. Ask God for guidance throughout everything that you do and he will always show you the right way. Don’t be discouraged when hard times fall and don’t forget God when good times come. Thank you all for listening to me and may you all have a blessed day.
