What does being saved mean to a sinner?

Being saved is wonderful thing. You have peace of mind that you will go to heaven in the end of your life. You have a future that awaits you in heaven and you have a renowned mind and body. I know that some of you say that you see a lot of Christians doing a lot of bad things, but rest assured that God himself is always behind. God is always picking up the pieces of our broken life. So, let’s talk a little bit about being saved.

What is a sinner?

            A sinner is any human being. In a literal sense, a sinner is someone who disobeys God’s commandments in any way. The reason why I say that anybody is a sinner is because everyone has done things against God’s will or commandments if you please.

            Since everyone has done something against what God had originally planned for us, then we all deserve death. We deserve death and hell.

            However, God knew the severity of man’s decisions and decided to make a way for all men to go to heaven. That way, is Jesus.

The story of Adam and Eve, in a nutshell.

            Adam and Eve were created by God perfectly. God put Adam in the garden of Eden to tend the Garden, that was Adam’s job. He put Eve to keep Adam company and so they were husband and wife.

            What happened is that Eve listened to a serpent that was in the Garden. God had put a rule to not eat of a certain tree that was in the garden. He said that if he did eat of that tree, then he would surely die.

            Eve listened to the serpent and sure enough she showed her husband the fruit of the tree and they ate.

            When God came into the Garden one day, he realized what they had done. So, God put a curse on the serpent that said, “From now on you will crawl on your belly.” To the woman he said, From now on your husband will rule over thee and labor will be magnified. To the man he said, “From now on you will work with your hands to produce fruit from the earth.” “no longer will the fruit produce itself and from dust you came from and until dust you shall return.”

            God knew that this situation was grave though, so God decided to promise something to mankind. A redeemer. This redeemer would conquer all flesh and sin and provide a way for all humanity to come to know God and be with God again. God decided to do this because he loves us and he is perfect.

            I’m not going to try and paraphrase the whole bible but I will say that there were other stories in the bible that described exactly how Jesus would become the person that he is.

            Sure enough Jesus fulfilled all of those things and when Jesus was by a lake one day, there was a multitude of people around him and out of the sky a loud voice was heard and it said, “This is my son whom I am proud of.”

            So, without a doubt, this is the son of God who we are talking about. This redeemer was supposed to be perfect, and he is because he is the son of God.

            Jesus, a righteous and holy man with no blame was crucified for our sins.

So, Jesus is that redeemer and the reason why we believe is because he rose from the grave on the third day, just like he said he would. The Jewish people, they are holy so don’t misread what I am saying, believe that Jesus was stolen from the grave by his disciples.

            However, there is something wrong with that. The soldiers that were put in charge of making sure that Jesus’ disciples were the ones who said that. However, they were put in charge SO THAT JESUS’ disciples wouldn’t DO THAT. It doesn’t make sense, that lie doesn’t make any sense because that was their sole job. That lie, literally confirms that Jesus is alive!

            Don’t misread what I am saying because Jesus is Jewish and they should be treated as equally as the next person. But just know that Jewish people believe that Jesus didn’t rise from the grave on the third day.

John 3:16

            Now, there is something that Jesus said to do in order to receive the kingdom that he is, and that is to believe in him. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” That literally says that you can go to heaven, if you just believe in him.

            God knew the consequences of man and he knew that the world would do terrible things in their lives, but God still made a way for all of us to make it out and live with him in eternity.
