No one is perfect. No one ever said that you have to be perfect either. God’s standard is perfection, however, God knows that we could never be perfect unless we were in heaven where God would allow perfection from us. However, we all should strive for a few things in life.
The Godly goals that I’m about to put up here is just a list of the things that I would like to do before my time is up. I would like to serve God with everything that I am and so doing these goals will strengthen my relationship with God, build treasures in heaven, show my love towards mankind, and a whole list of other things. With that being said, here are some of my Godly goals that I wish to do before I die.
Read the whole bible
I want to pick up the bible one day and start reading it with the intent that I would finish it. Understanding the points that are being made along the way, but also, just getting a whole grasp at the bible. I want to understand God more and I believe that reading the bible will help me to understand him more, or at least enough to get me by through life.
I will admit, that I have read a big part of the bible. I have been reading it since I was a kid anyways. I have read the stories and gone into detail about a lot of things so I’m able to connect the dots easier than someone who just started.
However, I have never picked up the bible and read it entirely in a few months or even a year. I wish to read the entire bible.
Pray every day for a whole year
I am getting better at this, however, I still am not used to praying consistently. Like, I get on a rip and I just pray sometimes twice a day for a few weeks but then I’ll stop for a few days. I’ll start back up but I just never got into praying every day. I am trying to make it a habit first before I try and pray every day for a whole year but anyways one day at a time.
Every time I end a blog post, I always say, “Please remember to pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God with all your heart.” Well I need to start listening to what I preach because those words could change my life for the better.
Please pray for me so that I will pray more often and eventually pray every day. I know that God is good and I know that prayer is essential for the relationship that I have with God, but it’s really hard. So, please pray, that I pray.
Go to church every Sunday for a whole year
I used to do this all the time. I actually went years going to church in the mornings without a break. Sadly, those times have changed and that’s not good. The bright side is that I’ve started to go to church more frequently now, actually it’s been a month since I’ve not gone to church. Well, one day church was canceled because of the snow, but I don’t count that.
As a Christian, you must attend church on a regular basis. There is no if, and’s, or but’s. It’s the word of God that we are learning about.
Tithe faithfully
I wish to tithe to God as faithfully as I can. I know that giving to the church shows a level of commitment and faith to God that is not shown to everyone.
I have more faith in God than in man, that’s actually easier said than done. So, let me say it differently. I trust God.
There are actually a lot of good things that God said would happen to you if you tithe faithfully. The main thing that God said would happen is, if you tithe, then you will be rich. That’s the modern translation anyways. I know the math doesn’t work out, but let me be a testimony to that verse.
In early Corona Virus times, around early 2020, I had a job paying a little more than minimum wage. So, I started tithing, I tithed for one year and a half and then I got sent to jail. I got sent to jail and I kept my faith in God. I had done something wrong, but God was with me. After I got out of jail, I had to get out of my parents house, so I needed a job that paid way more than minimum wage because in the area that I live, it’s really expensive. So, I started looking for jobs, and would you believe it, that I had job offers that I never had in my life. Jobs, to pay me QUADRUPLE what I was making in my minimum wage job. So, I picked one job, the closest that was near me and not only that, but my parents let me stay in their house. So, I don’t have to pay for living expenses other than my own things and I have two jobs and one of those pays me a lot. It’s amazing! You know what? I’m going to keep doing the same thing and I have been for a few months, and I am going to trust in God that God is working in my life, throughout all of the hard times and good.
So, tithing, that works! But it’s not the act of tithing that works to get you rich, it’s God.
Make a few Christian concept albums
So, I am a musician. I want to write music, but God needs to be at the center of attention when I write music, when I write period.
In reality, I want to write a few albums period. I don’t really mind if they’re concept albums first or if they’re EP’s I just want to write a few albums. Not only is this a music goal of mine, but it’s also a Christian mission that I have because I am a Christian musician. I do sincerely want to worship God with everything that I am and I do sincerely want to write Christian music for the benefit of God.
I feel like the Christian music that’s out there in the world is too fluffy, it’s too non original. I feel like true Christian doctrine needs to be expressed and that true Christian doctrine is not being expressed in the right way through music.
I feel like I could introduce a whole new era of Christian music, maybe the last.
Spread the word of God more.
I feel like this blog could spread the word of God to the world. I know that God could spread the word of God through the world through this blog, but the question is, would he allow it? Was I destined to spread the word of God throughout the world? Was I destined to have this blog be a successful blog?
I remember back when I first started this blog, I said to myself that I wanted this blog to reflect what God’s will is. I want God to be the center of attention to this blog. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I want the Holy Spirit to guide my words and actions so that the whole world may know what God’s word is. I hope that I have kept my original plan so far.
My blog goal
Actually, I have a blog goal. My blog goal is that I translate the main message to different languages so that every language in the world understands what God’s will is.
I want there to be no barrier as to how the message is spread throughout the world.
In case you didn’t know the message, it’s that Jesus loves you, he died for your sins, and is coming again to take us to heaven. If you just believe in him, he will save you from hell.
I already know Spanish and English fluently, but now it’s time to challenge myself into learning new languages. I need to learn different languages so that I can translate God loves you for them.
Start a Church
So I absolutely have to do this. I have to start a church. The reason for this is because I have always believed that God wanted me to start a church. If I was a pastor or not doesn’t matter, but a Church needs to be started.
I know that the church is an essential aspect of the life of a Christian so the more the merrier.
I want to have a family
I need a wife. I want to start a family. However, I want my family to love God with all of their hearts. I don’t want my family to lose their sight of God.
I want my wife to love God more than I love God, that’s saying a lot. I want my wife to be pretty, educated, loving, everything that God wants in a wife, I want her to be as well. She doesn’t have to be perfect, haha I’m not perfect either, but I do want some things.
Help the poor
I know for a fact, that with all of the money that I will have, God would want me to help the poor as well. I know that money should not be used in vain and if it is done, then that’s something that God would not like.
I used to be homeless, but God had mercy on me and so, God is here to help me.
These are some of the things that God has laid on my heart to do. However, I’m interested in hearing, what are some of your Godly goals? What are some things that you absolutely have to do before your time is up? Let me know in the comments section below.
Broadcast
I know that I didn’t go over salvation in this blog post, but if there is anyone out there who is lost, anyone out there who needs help, if there is anyone out there who just doesn’t know what to do, then seek God and God himself will show you which way you need to go. Have faith in God and lean not unto your own wisdom. Fiate de Jehovah y no apollas en tu propia prudencia. That means to have faith in God and not in your own wisdom.
Thank you all for listening in on this blog post. I hope that I have been an encouragement and inspiration to you all. Please remember to pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, and subscribe and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!
