A story that inspired me

My preacher was once preaching to us about the impact that each of us would have in different lives. He said that there was once another preacher who went to go preach to the Congo. He said that this preacher spent his life and made it his life mission to preach to the Congo, however, at the end of his life at this death bed. It seemed as if though all of his efforts were wasted and even he said, “I have failed in life.”

            Anyways, many years later, another missionary went and tried to do the exact same job. What they found was that there were villages all throughout the Congo who were Christian. The missionaries were astounded and they asked the villagers of the Congo, “who taught you about Christianity?” the villagers replied that there was a man and they gave the missionaries the name of the man who died thinking that he had done nothing in life.

            That same man who thought he died in vain, ended up being the seed to spread the word to the Congo and sure enough, they were all Christian, teaching Christian Doctrine.

            It actually inspired me because I started to think about this blog. I know that this blog has the potential of not becoming anything at all throughout my life. However, I trust that God is the one who is going to have victory in my life and in this blog’s life because well, that’s just the way that God works.

            I remember once I was complaining to my mom and I was saying, “why? Why does it have to take a long time before my blog takes off? Why do I have to work hard in order to get money? Why do I have to be patient?” she said this, “How long did God promise Abraham a son? A long time. How long did it take for King David to become a king after he killed Goliath? A long time. How long are God’s promises? They are long and patient ones but they are definitely worth it. I immediately thought to myself, I am by no means greater than Abraham or David so I have by no means any reason as to hurry the process up.

            I have a dream, that I could one day spread the word of God to the world. I love everyone in the world and I would want to see everyone saved. I want the world to know God. I want God to be the most important thing in everyone’s life and I hope that this blog will be an example of what God’s light is.

This broadcast is meant for those that are broken, who have no hope, who want a second chance, who want to be forgiven for all of the bad things in life, who need someone.

            I want to tell you that I’m not going to be here for you but there is someone who will always be here for you, that’s God. God is the creator of the heavens and the earth, he reigns supreme over all things, he lives he always lived and he will forever live. He can be here for you. He will always be there for you and he will give you hope and courage and strength to do the things that you need to do.
