Everything good takes time and effort. All good things come to those who wait, it says so in the bible. So, if you want a Music career, it comes to those who wait!

Of course you’re not just going to sit around and do nothing waiting at the same time for your music career to start off. Therefore, you must work hard at your music career because it is after all your career!

Do you want to be signed to a record label? Do you want to sell your music on your own? Do you want to be a session musician for the Lord? Do you want your own record label? All of these things can happen if you just spend time and effort into developing whatever it is that you’re developing.

With that being said, here are some things that you can do to start your music career. Warning, I am saying this in a perspective that you can already sing, dance, or write songs. I at least expect you to have some musical ability. So, here are some things that you can do to start your music career if you’re already a talented musician.

Write songs like never before.

The key thing in being a songwriter or producer is the ability to put chords and lyrics together in harmony and sing them at the same time. You must know how to develop songs if you want to chase the dream of being a musician.

So, the thing in writing songs like never before is that you have to write songs like never before! Write and write and write and write some more. Write until you can’t write anymore!

You know how all of those great songwriters got to get to where they are today? Practice, that’s all they did for years. Practice songwriting and playing the guitar and singing songs in church, that’s what every musician did ever since he was a tike!

Have your social medias ready

In my opinion, you must have a blog and any other social media. If you have a blog and a YouTube channel, that’s a little harder to maintain but doable. It would benefit you a lot if you had both but it’s a lot of work for a lot of time that a lot of us don’t have.

So, the bare minimum is a blog and another social media such as twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.

I personally have Twitter because I’ve done my research and found that it would be best for me if I had an account on twitter, but don’t get me wrong I do have a Facebook as well but I use that for personal use.

The reason why I say have a blog is because it’s the easiest way to spread your message out there. The only thing that it requires is time. And even that is not too bad. If you write every day for about a month straight, you’ll get good at blogging and you’ll be able to pump out 1000 word articles within an hour. (that happened to me, it’s not a guarantee that it will happen to you.)

The blog takes so little time out of your day and the rewards are immense. The only downside is that it takes years before google can see that you’re someone reputable and start giving you massive amounts of traffic.

I’m a rare occasion. It actually took me around 6 months before I had my first 119 views in one month. Right now I’m at 90 views and I’m a little more than midway through the month so if I keep going at the pace that I’ve been going, I will have more than 119 views by the end of the month, possibly 200 views.

That’s not massive amounts of traffic though. I’m actually expecting my first 1000 view month by June or July. If I keep working hard at this blog, I know that that’s very possible. Even that’s not massive amounts of traffic, I expect my first 10,000 view month by the end of the year and at that point, I would have started to get paid for my blogging efforts.

So, it’s a big waiting game. It’s definitely worth it though.

By the end of the year, that would have been my second year blogging. I Started January last year and I blogged almost every day for 7 months straight. I took a break because I was going through some difficult times, but I’m back at it now and with God’s help, I’m not going to quit.

So, what I’m trying to get at is that having a blog is easier than a YouTube channel and it’s just as effective, if not more effective. Eventually it’s ideal that you would have your own YouTube channel, but that’s at a later time.

So in order to spread your message, you must have a blog.

Go out and perform

Everyone has good concerts and bad concerts. Some concerts you’re going to sound really good and others maybe not so much. Sometimes you might get an amen, other times you’re going to get a standing ovation.

Either way, going out a performing will teach you how to perform at live venues.

Performing will also get you in front of the crowd of people that you want. Whether that be new fans or producers and other artists, the people that you want to be in front of will be at concerts. So, it’s another marketing tool for yourself.

Last thing and certainly not the least

You must get closer to God. This journey that you’ve taken as a Christian musician is not an easy one. So, you must ask God to help you throughout the hard times and the good.

Broadcast

I know that I didn’t discuss salvation in this topic, but if anyone out there feels lost or confused then I’m here to tell you that Jesus is the answer. Jesus is God and God heals everything. If you need someone who you can trust, it’s God. If you need someone who loves, go to God. Jesus loves you, remember that.

Thank you all for listening on this blog post. I hope that I have been an encouragement and inspiration to you guys. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, and subscribe and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!
