What do I write about? Well now that you’re a budding Christian musician, it’s time to develop a fan base right? It’s time to work harder than never before and to reap the benefits of your hard work, you have to work hard! Haha!

You read these blog articles in the past and you’ve heard me practically sell to you that you need a blog. Now, you’re ready to start your own blog.

The question now is, what do I write about? And how can I stay fresh on my content ideas so that I can overcome the challenges faced with starting a new blog? Let’s talk about some topics that you can talk about to start a new blog and go over some techniques that you can do in order to keep your content fresh, up to date, and amazing all at the same time. Let’s get started.

Your Christian music Journey

How did you start to become a Christian musician? What made you want to become a Christian musician? Do you feel like it’s a calling that you have to be a Christian musician or do you think that it’s just a phase? How did you start to become a musician?

The basics is that you can tell us about your origins in music and expand from there.

I know I probably haven’t done this yet so actually it might be my next blog post.

How does God inspire you? When were you saved? How many times did you pray to God to make you a Christian musician? Are you always looking to get better at becoming a Christian musician? What type of lyrics do you like to make?

The basics is to tell us about you in relation to God. Obviously you would like to make music that worships, uplifts, and adores God. Obviously you want to make music where you actually show your love for God with spirit and truth. So, tell us more about it.

Favorite Christian musicians

Who are some of your favorite all time Christian artists and songwriters?

God set out a wide array of Christian music out there, so there are options.

Talk about your influences. I feel like everyone has some secular influences, especially if you’re doing rock, pop, and hip-hop, but share and highlight the Christian artists. I know that God does not need the help of secular music in order to make his music sound good. So, make it known and make it a statement that God is the forefront of your music.

If you did have a lot of secular music influences, go ahead tell them what they were, be honest I’m not telling you to lie. But highlight the Christian artists, they should be highlighted anyways if you’re a Christian musician.

Music gear that you absolutely need as a Christian musician

I actually have a lot of gear that I’ve collected over the past years and I love all of it. I have mixing speakers for my DAW, software, a guitar, picks, capos, microphone, a laptop, and a notebook and pen. Now, you don’t need all of that stuff in order to start in music, but when you get to where I’m at in life, you tend to collect nice things.

Christian music blogs that you love

Finding Christian music blogs that have new artists and songwriters is especially important for Christian musicians.

As a musician, you should always be on the lookout for the latest trend and sounds that are being displayed on the popular charts. Christian music is no different.

When you’re a Christian musician, pay attention to what similar artists in your genre are putting out and try and replicate some of the material. I’m not saying go out and straight up copyright infringe on their material, but I am saying that you should try and imitate some things that you like.

The new artists almost are always doing the same things that you’re doing in order to get noticed so they are paying attention to the radio and listening to the streams so listening to the new stuff can get you started in the right direction.

Your faith

What do you believe in? I know that’s a really difficult thing to ask, but what do you believe in? The reason why I say this is because I know that everyone is supposed to believe in Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit, but not everyone who claims to be Christian believes in these things.

If you want to be a Christian musician, your faith must show in your music and your faith must be known to your audience, otherwise, you’ll probably never get the right crowd of people to listen to your music.

Your mission

I know that some of you are just teenagers or early adults who don’t have a degree in theology, but your mission is just as important as theirs.

I heard once a saying that said,” God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called.” So, don’t put yourself down just because you don’t have a degree or aren’t doing things the traditional manner, look to God and see if God would like what you’re going to do.

If God likes what you’re going to do, then who cares about the rest?

Your origins

It’s always nice to put a face behind the person writing the blog post. Sometimes knowing where you came from is a really good way of showing people what you believe in, who you are, what kind of education you have, etc. etc.

Your music

I’ve recently gotten into doing this.

write about all things related to your music. Talk about your up and coming releases that you are doing or any shows that you are doing.

Speaking of which, if you guys like this blog post so far, be sure to check out my song that’s out now on all major streaming platforms called Peace in your heart.             If there’s anyone out there who doesn’t believe in anything and feels lost, if there’s anyone out there who can’t seem to find hope, if you feel like there is no hope for you, then I’m here to tell you that God has hope for you.

God has hope for you and God can help you to do the things that you need to do. God has answers to life’s most difficult questions. God’s manner is holy and pure and God’s way is the righteous way.

If you want to learn more about who is God and what does he stand for, I’m always here to talk whenever you need to.
