It’s funny because I see a lot of atheists, skeptics, and even some Christians who wonder why are Christians so adamant and as a matter of fact madly crazy about their religious freedoms?
It’s a good questions to have because when someone doesn’t understand something, it’s good to ask about it.
Let’s talk about this for a second.
What happens when you accept Jesus into your life?
So, what happens when you accept Jesus into your life? Actually at that point, the holy spirit is the one that is guiding you towards the right direction from there on out.
The Holy Spirit is resting in your heart and actually what is displayed is zeal.
It’s actually proof that God is real, because Christians show their zeal, their passion, their heart towards God whenever they start talking about religious freedoms.
What happens is that when we accept Jesus into our life, a fire is started. A fire that burns bright even in the darkest places. That fire is the passion that Jesus gave each of us towards mankind. That passion ultimately drives us to build churches, believe in his name, get through difficult challenges, and shine bright towards the world.
The proper word is zeal, but passion can be used interchangeably.
Why do Christians believe that Christ is truly the son of God?
There are a lot of reasons why Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God.
- When Jesus was getting baptized, the heavens opened up and a light shined on Jesus. A spirit like a dove descended from the heavens and entered into Jesus and out of the heavens there was a voice and it said, “This is my beloved son, whom I am most pleased with.” And let me tell you something, not one, or two, or a hundred people saw this, but a multitude of witnesses saw this. Doctors, soldiers, common folk, disciples, intellectuals saw this. They have written it down, not just in the bible, but in books about what happened. That’s one reason why
- Jesus fulfills the prophecies from the Old Testament prophets. Prophecies are not fortune tellings, but they tell the future from a God inspired way. God used to communicate with the children of Israel by prophets, he doesn’t anymore. Jesus fulfilled all of the prophecies from the Old Testament.
- Jesus said that certain things would happen in the last days. So far, all of them are real and are coming true. If you look at all of the things that Jesus said would happen in the last days, they are all coming true. You can find Jesus’ predictions in the gospels.
Why all of the zealous emotions?
What is the most amazing thing that you’ve ever seen in life? Was it that sunset? Was it when you won boxer of the year? Was it when you got straight a’s in a semester when you didn’t think that was possible? Jesus, God, is all of that and more! God, Jesus, the son of God has risen again? How is that possible if it’s not from something divine?
Why wouldn’t we have all of that zeal in us when our Lord is coming again and this time, there will be no pain where we’re going. We want everyone to come with us, we want our friends to come with us, our brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, children, we want the whole world to come with us. We know the truth, the truth is that Jesus died for our sins and we are going to rise again! How amazing is that?
We want the whole world to know, but not for ourselves, but rather, for our God. Our God wants you in heaven. Our God wants you to go to heaven! Let me say that one more time, Our God wants you to go to heaven! It doesn’t matter who you are, you could’ve been a serial killer, Ted Bundy, or the worst of the worst, our God wants you in heaven! Our God wants you in heaven! The good news is so powerful isn’t it?
