Why so much Homophobia in the church

So, i typed this blog article in my word document and i realized it can sound a little offensive so i’m going to start off like this, God loves you. Jesus loves you, no matter if you’re gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, it doesn’t matter, God loves you. God wants you in heaven, He really wants you in heaven, it’s in the bible. In this blog article, i’m going to show you some Bible verses that support what I think, and you can go ask those homophobic preachers as well if you can go to heaven even after being a homosexual, they will say yes if you ask the right question. So, I think we all get bad perceptions of things especially when we don’t know that thing very well. There is a saying in the music world, “The only people who don’t like your type of music, are people who don’t listen to it.” Haha! Why? Because if you don’t know something really well, how are you to judge it? You really have no room to judge something if you don’t know what it’s about. Same with church. Let’s talk about this for a second.

Homophobia in the church

            I get, I get it, you hear those Baptist preachers, preaching the Lord’s message and you hear something against homosexuals said in a very passionate/angry way. I too have heard those preaching. Let me ask you this though, when those preachers were preaching those things, did you ask God to tell you the truth? Did you ask God to teach you the truth? See what happens is, no matter what someone teaches us, we should always be looking for God’s teachings. I have preachers too, and you know what? Just the fact that they’re meer man, means that they are going to interpret God’s word in a wrong way somehow.

            That’s not to say that you should go to any church, but you should look for a church that’s biblically sound. What happens is that our faith is based solely on the bible, not the church.

            Also, the reason why I say that we should be looking for God’s teachings, is because man can mess up. However, God can never mess up. So, instead of looking at this homophobia and criticizing it, why don’t you ask God to tell you whether or not it’s the truth or not? God will tell you somehow. God will show you what the truth is because he wants you to know the truth.

            Also, we should be maintaining a relationship with God. Our relationship with God will guide us towards the right church, the right places, and the right people.

Now, why so homophobic?

            So, there are literal words in the bible that explicitly state that God thinks that homosexuality is an abomination. There are also other verses that imply the fact that God thinks that homosexuality is an abomination. So, like, why don’t you go and read the bible and see for yourself, who is telling the truth? If you think that you’re right, go read the bible and figure it out for yourself.

            I hear you when you say that different interpretations could mean different things, but what else does, “if a man lies with another man, then he shall be put to death to cut off all evil from your nation.” What else does that mean? That’s bible, not me. That was God who spoke that too, he literally spoke that.

Before you go off and say that I’m a homophobe, I just want to be clear of something…

            So, I hope to God that everybody in the entire world goes to heaven. I don’t care if you’re Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Bisexual, whatever, I want you to go to heaven. I care about you more than what you think. I mean this with all sincerity in my heart, if we were to meet in person, I would hope that our differences could be set aside so that we could get along alright. I hope that one day you get close to God and I hope that you can see why God is so beautiful one day.

            I’m speaking to all homosexuals’ right here, I know that God wants you in heaven, it’s in the bible. “It’s not God’s will that anyone go to hell.”

            Also, read 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, what happened is that the preacher was preaching to a group of Christians and in those Christians were homosexuals and he said that now they have been washed by the blood of our Lord and the Spirit of our God.

            So, it doesn’t matter if you were a homosexual at one point, you can still go to God, God is a winner, and he wants to win you.

            Also, Jesus spoke these words in John 3:16, “For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” He said the world, not the world except a thief, a drunk, a homosexual, it said For God so loved the world… that literally means the world. God loves you, I believe and it’s the belief of every Christian, that a homosexual can go to heaven, if that Christian doesn’t believe that homosexuals can go to heaven, then they probably aren’t mature enough to understand that, Ask any preacher that there is, ask them this question, “If I was a homosexual, can God still forgive me and let me go to heaven?” ask them that, as a matter of fact, ask them that after they have preached their “Homophobic” preaching. They have to say, yes. It’s bible! It’s our hope.

            So, this message is specifically for all of the homosexuals out there. I want you to go to heaven. God wants you to go to heaven. Our hope as Christians is that you go to heaven. If you want to go to heaven, pray about it. God will never harm you, he will only help you. The only thing that God will do, is help your life, trust in God, not me.
