How do biblical texts apply to modern society?

The bible is timeless. There is a verse in the bible that states, “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God.” What happens is that God’s word is timeless because it applies to us in all times. The bible is God inspired doctrine that was written by man. With that being said, Let’s talk about how biblical texts apply to modern society.

You have to think about God first and then the rest will come.

            So, You have to think about God first and then listen to the government. What happens is that our governments can fail us, however, God will never fail us. God will never fail us and we should listen to God with authority in mind. Let me give you an example.

            God put the authorities of this earth here for a reason. There is a verse in the bible that states, “Though there are differences in amongst people, God is the one who works all of them.” So, it doesn’t matter who you are for or against, God is going to be the one to control whatever happens next.

            Everything that happens in the world has to go by what God has said to do because or else it would just be chaos everywhere. I know what some of you are thinking, it’s already chaos everywhere. Well I’m here to tell you that it would be infinitely worse if God wasn’t here.

            God controls from dictators to the purest of politicians. God’s spirit is everywhere and God’s will is going to be done before anything else happens.

            I’m not saying that you should go against your country, because that’s not at all what I am trying to say. I am trying to say that you should listen to the people that were put over you to an extent. If at one point, the government starts telling you that you cannot be Christian, then it is time to take your own course. However, until that day comes, you have to listen to your government.

            Listen to authorities because they are there from God.

God is timeless

            God meant to show the world what is godly by instituting the law. He was trying to show the world just how lost they were by showing them what is godly and what is not. When Jesus died on the cross, that was God’s final word, however, he wants us to live freely under him so that we may live a long and happy life and eventually be reunited with him.

            The law of God protects us, the law of God, loves us, it’s just that we need wisdom in order to understand the mysteries of God.

            The words that God spoke, were his words and we should abide by them. If you don’t understand, you need wisdom.
