What does worship look like to you? What do you define as praise? What does it mean to live the lifestyle of worship? These are all very important questions to ask. Worship is something that is talked about in the bible, but I feel like not many people talk about worship the way that it is supposed to be talked about. Let’s talk about worship, shall we?

What is worship?

            According to Google worship is defined as, “The feeling or expression of reverence towards a deity.” So basically it’s the reverence that you have towards God that is worship.

            Worship is good! We worship God with many things other than just music. We worship God with our tongues, bodies, hearts, minds, songs, money, etc. etc. We were born to do these things.

A lifestyle of worship

            God has called us to live a holy life. Now that we have accepted Jesus into our lives, we have to walk with Jesus.

            What does that mean?

            It means that we have to forsake the old body and put on the new one.

            Before we accepted Jesus into our lives, we were all dead in our sins. We wanted and did things that were not Godly, that were not good, that had no place in God’s kingdom.

            Now that we have accepted Jesus into our lives, the lifestyle of worship has to become a part of us. Don’t worry though, because God gives us strength in order to do this.

            God gives us strength to do good things because if it were not for him, we couldn’t do anything good.

I can already hear the differences being murmured in the audience

            So, I know already that there are people out there that think that there is a big difference between praise and worship, and I agree.

            But worship is something that we should live by so that way God can do all of the things that he wanted for us to do.

How I worship?

            I do my best to worship God with everything that I have. Below is a list of all the ways that I worship God.

1. I worship God with my music. Music is of course the most popular way that people worship God. As a musician, worshipping God through my music is giving God my all. My music is the thing that love the most and I have decided to give it to God? Yes that sounds about right. I want to give God my all so I give him my music.
2. I worship God with my body. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I abstain from immorality, etc. etc. I do these things not only because it’s morally good to do these things but also because God would like it if I did these things.
3. I worship God with my tongue. I know that I already said that I worship God with my body but the tongue is something different. The tongue is worshipping God with what you say, your words. Your words can have a huge impact in someone’s life so living a life where you give your words to God will make a huge impact.
4. I worship God with my money. I want to give God my resources because after all, he was the one who gave it to me in the first place. Without God allowing it, I wouldn’t have made that money in the first place.
5. I worship God with my blog. The first blog that I ever stayed with and worked on hard was this blog. And you know what? I don’t mind it at all. I want my blog to be a symbol of what God wants. I want God to work through this blog.

These were some of the things that I do to worship God.

How do I worship God with what I have?

            I worship God with whatever I have. Now it’s time for you to worship God with whatever you have. I’m not a rich person, yet I worship God with my money. I’m not the most influential, yet I worship God with my blog, I’m not the tallest, biggest, smartest dude out there but you don’t see me stopping me from worshipping God with everything that I am.

            I know that some of you probably don’t know how to worship God, or maybe some of you have never worshipped God with all you have. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s time to worship God. Worship God with all you have. Start out by praying to God to forgive you for all of your sins. Pray to God to move your heart so that way you can partake in his kingdom as well.
