With God’s help I’ll do all of the things that I want within the next 6 months to a year.
Finish my album
I have just recorded and produced one song, I absolutely love it and I love the way it sounds. I wrote, produced, sang, played the guitar parts, and background vocals and mixed all on my own.
I have around 4 songs in the works right now. Actually one of those songs in the works I’ve already memorized it, it’s just that I have to record it now.
I’m still debating as to what I should name the album, I have a few names in mind but I’m still not sure if I really want to call it that.
Also, I’m debating whether I want to release an album or an EP. I feel like a 7 song EP would be sufficient for my first project that I would have released. I feel like it would say a lot about me too.
I want to do things the right way, and usually the right way is starting off small. And stating off small is starting with an EP. I remember when Justin Bieber first released his music, his music was an EP and he started on a major record label. I’m no greater than Justin, yet! Haha!
I also feel like an EP would be a great starter for me. It’s not too little work and not too much work.
Continue to grow this blog
I really don’t know when this blog is going to take off, but it’s starting to get views. I know the more I work at it, the more people I am going to touch and impact with my music and words.
I thank God for all the followers that I have on this blog. It’s actually a blessing to have all of these followers on this blog. I also thank God for all of the views that I’ve gotten to my site. It could have only have been God who got me all of the views that I have today.
Sell my first album or EP
I’m actually hoping that by the end of the year, I would have sold my album or EP. I would have sold it on I-tunes or Google play maybe between 1,000-10,000 times, that’s what I’m hoping for anyways. But, we all know that we all have to start small, so if I get anything less than that, it would be okay with me.
Update some of my gear
I actually was hoping that I could get a new laptop. This one still runs great, fast, reliable, accurate, but some of the things are broken. The pad where you’re supposed to control the mouse is broken. Sometimes it types extra letters, the screen is broke, and it’s supposed to be a touchscreen, the wifi is broke so I have to use an external adapter to get my wifi and sometimes that doesn’t work.
It still works just fine, it’s just that it’s also getting old and some of my softwares don’t run great on this laptop.
Say for example my DAW that I use to record my music doesn’t work perfect on this laptop and the other day it glitched on me.
I was also hoping to get another few guitars. I want to get an electric and another acoustic electric. I want to get a Taylor for my acoustic and a Gibson for my electric, I might get a Schecter, I don’t know.
I absolutely love my mixing speakers so I’m not going to change that.
Last but not least
I’m going to try my hand at seeing if I can sell my songs to other songwriters or artists. I’m going to see if some record labels will want to sign me on as a staff writer or artist too. I’m going to try anyways and if I don’t succeed, try and try again.
