Who do I create for?

I create for God. I know that there are some people out there who may say, “But German your music sounds so good, how can it be for God?” Well, my music can sound good and also be for God. Who says that Christian music has to sound like it’s from the renaissance era?

            With that in mind, I do create things with the intention of sounding appealing to humans, it’s just that God is my focus when I write songs. I focus on the lyrics because that will differentiate me from other Christian songwriters. Let’s go over a few ways that I write for God and how I’m different than other Christian musicians.

My lyrics are intended to be different.

            I hear so many times in Christian music the same things being said. I think to myself, can’t it be said in a different way? Can’t Christian music just have a little more diversity or creativity when we’re talking about the Lord? (When I say diversity here I mean diversity in language choice)

            I mean I hear constantly the same thing over and over again, “God is good” Yes! God is good but because God is so good we ought to try our absolute hardest to make the songs that have vigor or dedication in it.

            Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love some of the Christian music that’s on the radio. I like “God is on the move”, “Open the Eyes of my heart”, “Mighty to Save”, “Lord I lift your name on high” etc. etc.

            There are good Christian songs out there and I’m sometimes astounded by what I hear.

            But sadly this is the exception and not the rule.

I’m not trying to bash Christian music

            I’m not trying to say that all Christian music is bad, I grew up on Christian music.

            And actually I don’t blame the Christian songwriters or artists that are out there either.

            It’s actually a sin problem. It’s a sin problem that we all have and it’s something that we need to pray about. The main reason why we can’t find really good Christian music out there is because sin is present in musicians lives.

            If we all prayed for really good Christian music to arise, then God will absolutely provide. God will provide and he will provide the music that you need.

            God understands the importance of music for Christians and he understands that there are genuine people out there that want to worship and praise him in spirit and in truth.

            So really the thing is simple, we just need to pray to God about our music and he will provide, it’s really not that hard. It might take some time for God to come out with a good artist, but God is patience, God can make things happen immediately, but God wants things done right, and also God has in mind who he wants to make his musicians so don’t fret because God has the perfect musicians lined up for when it’s time to take the stage.

            If you think that you’re one of those musicians that needs to take the stage for God, if you’re not a musician, however, you want to become one for God, if you want to get to know God, then pray to God about it. God will answer you in the manner that is perfect. God can do anything and everything all at the same time. God is perfect in his timing and you should trust in his timing.
