God loves you, plain and simple. God loves you to death, literally. God loves you with all his heart. God wants the best for you. God knows you more than you know yourself. I don’t care what you’ve done in life, God loves you. In this blog post, I am going to talk about all the reasons why God loves you, let’s start.

God made you

God made you perfect for your situation. God knew the kind of person that you would end up being. God did not make a mistake when he made you. I don’t care if you’re gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, a killer, a thief, a drunk, etc. etc. God loves you with all his heart and God wants to show you the right way in life.

If you’re alive today, I seriously don’t think that God is done with you yet. As a matter of fact, I believe that God wants you in heaven still!

The hope of every Christian is that everyone goes to heaven. That’s the hope of God and that’s the hope of all of us Christians. Let me show you some things that support why I think this.

Jonah

***Before you read this and think that God is a horrible god, I’m going to remind you that God loves and it’s a happy ending in this story***

Jonah was a prophet in the Old Testament. Actually if I remember it clearly, he was known as the prophet that complained! Haha! Even God’s prophets complained to God, we are no better than them. Anyways, One day, God saw that the town of Nineveh was very corrupt and evil so God sent Jonah to go tell them that they better repent of their sins or else God will bring to them curses and punish them.

Jonah Denied to do this, but I’ll tell you why later on in this blog.

So, when it was time for Jonah to go and tell them what God was doing, he turned the other way towards the sea and disobeyed God and when he went to the sea, he was hoping he could escape his destiny to Nineveh and go live out in a farther land.

That night, at sea, There was a storm and Jonah was swallowed by a whale. He spent three days in the belly of the whale, in which he started to pray to God. He prayed and he prayed to God to forgive him and if God forgave him, then he would go to Nineveh and tell them the prophecy.

So, that day, the whale washed up on shore and threw up Jonah. Jonah went to Nineveh and he prophesied to the Ninevites.

All of the Ninevites repented of their sins and turned towards God once again.

***The thing is this. The reason why Jonah didn’t want to tell Nineveh about the prophecy is because Jonah knew that God is a loving God. Jonah knew that God loved the people of Nineveh, however, Jonah did not think that the people of Nineveh deserved to be shown mercy. Jonah had heard stories and witnessed things in Nineveh that he thought were just too much and they didn’t deserve mercy.

However, God thought in his righteous mind, that the town of Nineveh deserved to be shown mercy, and sure enough, they were shown mercy. ***

The result, is that people went to God after they were shown that they were immoral and God wanted those people in heaven all along.

Jesus

Jesus died for us! Jesus came to this earth so that way we may live in heaven. Jesus is the son of God and it clearly states that God loves us, through Jesus’ words.

John 3:16 states: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life through Jesus Christ.”

This literally states that God loves the world and the world includes you! The world includes everyone out there who ever lived. God loves you and doesn’t want anyone to go to hell.

God is a merciful God

God is a merciful God alright. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. Some people ask how can that be and isn’t that a little confusing? Well let me ask you something, Did you ever do anything against your parents permission? Did your parents still love you? So your parents love you but they don’t love the thing that you do? And isn’t God our father?

So, God loves the sinner, hates the sin.

God is truly a merciful God.

Broadcast

I know that I talked about why God is a merciful God. So, he loves you and he wants to show you mercy. It takes wisdom to understand everything that there is to know about God.

            Let me rephrase that

We can never know everything that there is to know about God. God is infinite, we are not. God is powerful, we are not. We can only learn so much about God and God will give us wisdom if we ask about it.
