The simple answer is that if you believe in Jesus with all your heart, then you are saved. The long answer. God doesn’t expect us to be perfect at all. God knows that our sin nature makes us imperfect and that we cannot help but to make mistakes in our lives. However, God does expect that we try our absolute best to get closer to God every single day. In this blog article, I’m going to go over some things that you should know so that way you can rest in God about going to heaven.
John 3:16
I say this time and time again. I will say it again. God loves you with all his heart. God sent his son Jesus to die for you. God wants you in heaven and God will always want you in heaven.
Jesus himself spoke the words, “Whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” That’s said in John 3:16. So literally, all you have to do is believe in Jesus and you will be saved.
A caveat
With that being said. God cannot live with sin. Even though no one can take away your salvation, it’s not good to be aimlessly wandering about doing anything and everything against God’s will.
As a matter of fact, now that we are saved, we are called to walk in holiness. Now, we are to walk with God with everything that we are.
Preachers from the New Testament
There was a preacher in the New Testament and there were a lot of people converting to Christianity at the time. So what happened was that, people were asking this preacher if they were saved, if they were Christian, if they were going to heaven even though they were doing all these things.
Let’s set the record straight here. Jesus died for all of our sins. Big, small, past, present, and future sins.
But when This preacher heard about what was going on, he said to them, “Why don’t you examine yourself and question yourself to see if you are righteous or not?”
I believe that these words should be said to anyone who ever doubts their belief.
If you ever do think that you are not righteous, then work on the things that need to be worked on and God will take care of the rest. God loves you with all his heart and God will not let you down.
If you try your best to overcome your difficulties, God will one day give you victory and that victory will be sweet, trust me.
Broadcast
Today, I’m going to speak to those Christians out there. I know that I sometimes speak to Christians out there. So I’m going to challenge you with this. If you have anything in your life that you know is not good or holy. If you know that you have something in your life that God would not approve of, then pray about it. Pray to God to give you victory about it in your life and God will give you victory.
Thank you all for listening in on this blog post. I hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, and subscribe and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!
