When does God say it’s okay to divorce?

I know what some of you are saying. “German, there has to be a lawful time when divorce is okay, when is it that time?” Well I just want you all to know that God wants the marriage to last. Why? Because that’s the holy way to live life. However, there is a certain instance where divorce would be alright with God. Let’s talk about this

Only when the spouse is unfaithful

            Whenever a spouse is unfaithful, is when it’s okay to divorce them.

            God understands the pain that would happen if someone were to cheat on us. God also understands that, that would contradict his rules if a person would live continuously after having an affair with the same person.

            It’s not right for a person to cheat on another person. It’s not right to have multiple wives or husbands.

            God created the marriage as a holy thing. Therefore, we must treat it as such.

But what about Solomon?

            I know some of you are saying that there were Jews with multiple wives. There are certain things that you should know about those Jews

            For one, they probably didn’t have the law of Moses and that’s the reason why they had multiple wives.

            Second, in Solomon’s case, he was already far away from God by the time he started to have multiple wives.

            I know that Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived, but even the best of the best fall short to the glory of God.

            Solomon also went against God because of the wives that he had.

            So, even the wisest of the wise can go against God at some point in their lives.

No other time is it allowed for Divorce

At no other time is divorce allowed to happen.

I hate it whenever I hear of people who filed for divorce because of irreconcilable differences.

What does that even mean?

I’m not trying to judge any of you guys out there, but did your spouse cheat on you? No.

Did anyone die? No! you had a fight over the remote control and then all of a sudden you’re out of the game. When you sign up for marriage, you sign up to be with that person for the rest of your life. It’s not like you’re just going to be with them for a little bit and then just leave. That’s not how that works.

I feel like young couples nowadays have the biggest challenge. Why? Because they don’t have the maturity to forgive and forget over the little details.
