How to find scripturally sound Christian music in today’s music

I know exactly how you feel! You want to find Christian music that is inspiring, life-changing, scripturally sound, and of course sounds amazing at the same time.

            In my quest to become a great musician, I have learned that no matter where you go, you will find great music no matter what. The only thing that you have to do in order to find that great music is to go look for it.

            With that being said, here is my advice to finding the best Christian songs out in the world right now.

Look in the right spots

            Christian music isn’t going to be scripturally sound no matter where you go. Therefore, we must look for songs that reflect what God wants us to believe.

            I know that some of you are saying to yourselves, “German, if it says that it’s Christian music, should we not already believe that it is actually indeed Christian music?”

            Well even though the themes maybe similar to what we portray in Christianity, it’s not the same as praising God.

            Here are some things you can do to find it.

Ask around

            Ask your friends and family about where to find the good Christian music.

            I remember back when I was a kid, I has asked my mom to help me find some good Christian music because I was tired of listening to the same old ones.

            So, therefore, she went and found an album for me so that I could listen to it. I will never forget the name of that album, “Open the Eyes of my Heart.” That was the name of the album and that album was actually a big collection of modern Christianity’s greatest hits.

            I absolutely loved every song on that album, except for like one or two of them.

            However, the songs were amazing and I just couldn’t get enough of it.

Look around on the internet

            I know that there is a lot of misguided things on the internet. However, there has to be some pastor that you trust/like that would be happy to point out to you the best Christian songs and also the blogs that would have the best Christian music.

You be the change in the world

            If you can’t find any Christian music that is inspiring, God adoring, scripturally sound, and sounds good, then make it your mission to go out and make those songs happen!

            With man everything is impossible, however, with God, everything is possible.

            I remember back when I was a kid, I had hardly heard any good music that was Christian. So, I said to myself, I’m going to go out there and make the best Christian music that there ever was.

            Sure enough, I became the best musician in my high school as a JR.

            And I know that God did not do this on accident.
