You know, I don’t have millions of views a month on my blog. I don’t have big endorsement deals, however, I consider myself a successful blogger. Why do I consider myself a successful blogger? Because I have done what 80% of the population wishes they could do.

Here are a few things that you can do to become a successful blogger.

Stay consistent

If you don’t have a lot of time each day to invest in your blog, then it would be better to spend your time over longer periods of time instead of all at once, let me explain.

You can actually get a sizable audience with your blog if you just post your blog posts up consistently.

I know that there are a lot of people out there who would promise you by Pinterest.

I know for sure that I have never used Pinterest to promote my content, however, I have heard of good reviews from people who promote their content on Pinterest and they get really good results.

However, I have also heard, specifically from Income School in their YouTube video how to go from 100 pageviews to 100k pageviews, that those people who have a Pinterest strategy, have a very active Pinterest strategy.

That literally means that whoever is using Pinterest to promote their content is doing at it for 40 hours a week, practically a day time job and not getting any money out of it until a few months down the road.

For most of us who don’t have that kind of time, we cannot afford to invest every day 8 hours of our time into something that is for the future, we have bills to pay NOW!

Therefore, our best bet in content marketing, is that, content marketing.

I am not a professional blogger, however, I did learn how to write blog posts through the help of some friends and also the internet and sure enough, I now get around 100 to 200 page views a month on my blog and that’s just after a year of working probably 30 minutes a day.

I have since increased the amount of time that I blog every single day, I now blog around 1 to 3 hours a day, however, that’s because I have more experience blogging and I can make more content faster now.

I’m not going to say that it’s easy because it’s not, but it’s definitely some work having to have a blog.

I have also tried to increase my blog post length.

Before, I was writing about 4 to 600 words a day. Now, I am trying to write at least a thousand words per post.

The way it works is like this, if you do what I did above, you will have traffic within a few years of starting your blog. THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE, but it does happen, it happened to me, and it can happen to you.

Actually you could get traffic on the first day. And that helps you out on your site.

I’m not saying a lot of traffic, maybe one or two views to your site.

As a matter of fact, you could receive traffic straight from the start.

Not a lot of course, but you could get like maybe 10 views on a single day.

I got 10 views in one day my very first 2 months blogging.

I have personally hardly promoted my blog through social media.

When I say hardly, I mean I posted up maybe 7 times to go check out my blog on facebook and twitter and I got maybe 3 views altogether from those efforts.

All of the rest of my 700+ views that I got throughout the first year and 3 months were organic.

Why do I say to stay consistent

Often times, we like to think that we are revolutionaries. Often times we like to think that we’re different from the world.

Well those different people go off to do different things.

However, no matter what you do, if it’s something good in your life, it’s going to take time to have it.

It takes time to develop something worthwhile.

Even if you do, do the Pinterest strategy, it’s still going to take you months before you build up a sizable audience and that’s working at it hard.

That’s literal time that I cannot afford to lose. I have other priorities in life and I want to fulfill all of them.

Currently I am not in a rush to get somewhere

Currently, I have two jobs and I want to go to college. And I know that this blog can pay for all of the things that I want it’s just that I want to give it a fighting chance.

I’m not going to expect the next to impossible when I don’t even know what I’m doing, that’s not giving myself a chance.

However,

So, this is my strategy and actually the strategy for a lot of content marketers out there. However, if you feel like promoting your blog through social media is the best, by all means go for it.

            I’m not stopping you.

It’s just that it’s really hard to promote through social media unless you have a big following already. Organic traffic, for me and a whole lot of other professionals, is the best way to go.
