What to do when it rains?

I like that title that I just put up there. “What to do when it rains?” Everyone likes sunshine in their days. Everyone likes it when there is sun, a breeze, it’s 70 degrees outside and it’s your day off. However, for the big majority of our lives, it’s going to rain. Of course I’m taking this metaphor a little bit too far, but what should you do when life is going down. When the rain in your life is just too much for you to bare? What should you do?

            Let’s talk about this.

Never lose hope on God

            I remember back when I was reading the book of Job. Job was going through the worst of times that any normal human could go through. He was being cursed by Satan and it was to prove that Job didn’t really love God.

            However, there was something interesting that Job said to his wife. What happens is that Job’s wife had told Job to “curse God and die.” And job said, are we to be like the heathen and only praise the Lord when good things are happening?” and so Job held his integrity throughout all of the bad times and sure enough, God gave him everything that he ever lost and more to him.

            What I’m trying to say is this, the bible described Job as a perfect man. The bible described Job as a man who loved God and eschewed evil. If Job who was perfect still had to go through some difficulties in life, how are we to stand against God through our difficulties in life?

            I know that bad situations happen and that it seems like all hope is lost, however, we can never lose our hope in God because God is going to get us through the rough times that we are going through.

            Sometimes I feel like there is no hope for me. Sometimes I feel like I have nothing and that no one loves me. However, That’s not true. God loves me and I have God. If I have God in my life, then I could do anything in life and I know it’s true.

Give yourself a chance

            Now, that being said, it’s not like you’re just going to sit all day long and just wait for God to do the things that you are supposed to do on a daily basis.

            God asks us to work, he asks us to give, love, be upstanding citizens basically. So, if you’re not used to giving your 110 percent, give yourself a chance to build yourself up.

            The beginning of wisdom starts with the fear of God, that’s the book of proverbs right there.

            God can and God will give you the opportunities to get ahead in life.

            There are loads of bible verses that talk about money, there are loads of bible verses that talk about love, marriage, work, friends, and challenges in life.

            And what’s more than that, if you pray to God about a specific subject, he will answer you in that specific way.

            I sure hope that I have encouraged some people today to never give up on God. I know the situation looks bad. I know that sometimes it feels like we have no control over our lives, However, we should never give up on God and God can always give us another chance.

            If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and Jesus will get you into heaven.
