Worry about nothing and pray for everything

I remember I was one time listening to a radio preacher. Now, this preacher is based in texas and I absolutely love his preachings. He said this one time and I just thought of him just right now because I was going through a rough time. He said, “Worry about nothing and pray for everything.”

            Let’s talk about this.

Pray with faith

            I know that life can sometimes seem overbearing, but we must learn to pray during those difficult times.

            I remember back when I heard this teaching that he also said that he used to walk down to the creek and sit on a bench and just pray.        

            He said that he would sit on that bench and just pray for hours sometimes right before he went to work or school.

            He also said that he still has some of those prayer journals and he sees that God did answer those prayers.

            He also said that there were some prayers that he didn’t answer or he said no to.

            He now sees that he is glad that some of the things that he prayed for, didn’t happen.

            I think that we can all learn from this lesson.

We have to trust in God in what God says

            I can actually remember a few of the things that I prayed for when I was a kid and I remember that some of the things that I prayed for were just straight up ungodly.

            I also see that some of the things that I prayed for were just straight up foolish.

            I look back now and I see that God was right all along. God had the reason to say no to the things that needed to say no to. God also had the reason to say yes to the things that he said yes to.

Some of the things that God said yes to

            God actually gave me the guitar. I remember the guitar so clearly for a lot of reasons actually. For one, when I asked my parents to give me the guitar, they said no at first. I was heart broken. And so I said to myself, if there is someone out there who knows me better than my parents, it’s my God.

            So, I started to pray to God for a guitar and sure enough, one year, my dad gave me an electric guitar. I was so thrilled. I couldn’t help but to be so excited at my guitar. I started to learn it immediately.

            I started practicing and I wouldn’t stop.

            I actually now look back at it now because God seriously gave me the guitar.

            Now you can own a guitar, but you don’t have guitar.

            I actually learned how to do it. When god gave me the guitar, he gave me the guitar. I learned everything about it. And I remember that I prayed to God in those days to make me a great guitarist. Sure enough, I won an award saying that I was the best musician in the entire school as a Junior.

            I know that it was God who made me that.
