So, let me explain to you who I am for a second. I am a certified social media manager. I worked at my current job’s company social media sites, including their blog, for about 8 months. I have loads of personal experience dealing with SEO and marketing and I know of a few ways that you can speed up the process of getting views to your site.

It takes work, however it can be done. I’m not going to specify how much time, but it will be less than usual, let’s get started.

Honestly, my best advice is to write more content

If you really want to see change in your blog and fast, then you have to write more content. I mean loads of content.

There are some people who write 10 blog posts a day. Some people write 3 blog posts a day but each one is about 3000 words long.

I mean the more content the better.

The more often you put up content, the better too.

WordPress.com actually knows the struggle that all bloggers have, it’s getting more traffic. And their number one way that they recommend on getting more traffic is to blog regularly.

It literally states, “none will contest that original, high-quality content with a few well-chosen tags is the best way to get started.” Read the whole article right here. https://wordpress.com/support/getting-more-views-and-traffic/

What happens is that these blogging websites need your content in order to survive. They need the bloggers out there and they are willing to trade up exposure for high quality content that’s being produced OFTEN.

So, if your blog does just that, then they will give you traffic. I’m not guaranteeing anything here, let’s be clear. But that’s just the way that it is in the blogging world.

Along those same notes, try looking up Income School. Income School is a blog and YouTube channel, I personally watch the YouTube videos. They talk everything about online marketing.

I remember once I saw in their videos that the more content, the more traffic. Look up the video, how to go from 100 blog views to 100k blog views a month, they go into detail about how to do it and it supports what I think too. Here is their video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t290An0tmGE

Neil Patel is another big player in the blogging industry, however, I think that most of his recent videos have been more so for the intermediate to advanced blogger. I remember back when I was first starting to try writing in a blog, I was having so much difficulty trying to keep up with Neil Patel.

I’m not saying that he’s a bad teacher or that he can’t teach beginners, but things like backlinks or changing advanced settings on your website that require code are really advanced and honestly no one knows how to do it who isn’t a professional programmer.

I would say, if you are a beginner, look up Income School, if you’re more advanced or intermediate level, then look up Neil Patel. Both of them are great teachers, I personally like Income School better though.

What about promoting your blog?

You know, when you first start out with your blog it’s more important to write great content than it is to promote that content.

However, if you really want to promote your content, start off small and work your way up.

I have heard a lot of good things coming from people who promote their content on Pinterest.

However, it’s an extremely active strategy, it’s a lot of work.

If you’re at that point in life where you do want to promote your content, then look up what your specific niche’s audience is at. If they are musicians, then go to music sites and forums, if they’re cooks and chefs, than honestly I would just stick with Pinterest.

However, I highly recommend you do your due diligence because almost every forum has their rules regarding promoting your own content. Usually it’s that you can’t promote your own content.

If you do, then they kick you out of the forum usually.

If it were me

If it were me, I would just focus on creating great content. Even if you do the Pinterest promoting, most of you will not have the same success as how I have seen from other people.

            It’s the sad truth.

Most of us will not find the same success found in other people’s Pinterest strategy.

Promoting is just not worth it sometimes.

Your best promotion method would be to write great blog posts.

I know it takes time to become good at something, but have patience and your good blog posts will come.

What about backlinks, settings, loading times, should I self-host? What if I am not receiving any traffic?

Honestly, if you are worried about any of those things, you don’t want to become a blogger. Everything has risks. You don’t need to have everything perfect in order for you to write your blog.

No one started with their perfect blog perfectly tailored to their perfect audience with the perfect settings and the perfect backlinks and the perfect loading times. That’s impossible, nothing is perfect.

If you want everything to be perfect in your blog before you start, then you will never start your blog. If you want everything to be perfect when you start ANYTHING, then you will never get anywhere.

So, go out! Try something new! Don’t be scared to fail because failure is just a learning experience.

Broadcast

I hope that I have inspired some people to write in their blogs. If you wait around for something to be perfect, you’ll never get it. Trust me, you’ll never get it. You have to be willing to fail at times in order to get to the next level. God will always be there waiting for you to get you to try again. God will always make sure that you have what you need, trust in that.

Thank you all for listening in on this blog post. I hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, subscribe, and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!
