It takes a lot of work in order to become successful at anything that you do in life. It takes years of effort and hard work before anything starts to pay off. However, the bible clearly states that good wealth is built over time. That’s true for earthly wealth too.

Keep in mind that it’s not good to work hard for money, it’s good to work hard as if though you’re working for the Lord, but don’t work hard to get rich.

Riches make themselves wings and fly like eagles, says the bible.

Anyways, here are some things that you should have in order to become a successful Christian blogger.

Patience

I know it’s frustrating, I know you’re desperate, I know that you can’t wait until you start receiving the checks from your affiliate ads or regular ads.

However, good things come to those who wait.

I have heard from people who are much older than me and who are much wiser than me that the problem with the younger generation is that they want everything now!

They have said that it doesn’t work like that.

You start off in any company in the same position as the next sad 22 year old and you work your way to the top.

It’s the same in anything that you do. No matter what happens, you are going  to have to go through a waiting phase where you wait to see how well your checks actually start to look like.

I remember back when I first started this blog, I said to myself, well better start now so that I can reap some rewards tomorrow.

And that’s what it is. When it is time to sow, it’s time to sow. We all look for the harvest because that’s where the fruits of our labor come to light.

However, the harvest will be plentiful if you put in the work required to make the harvest big and good.

            So, be patient!

A passion for Jesus

I should have put this at the top of the page! The first and foremost thing that you should have in order to work as a Christian blogger is a passion for Jesus.

Your heart should be set ablaze for the Lord because the Lord has convicted your heart to do something good.

Along with your passion for Jesus, you need to have an understanding of the bible, prayer, and church.

Make sure that you know absolutely what you are talking about because sometimes what Christians say can alter someone’s life for good.

You should be praying consistently. You should be praying not just when it’s time to eat or go to sleep, but in your own personal time during the day.

Your prayer life should be a strong aspect of your life.

Now that I’ve said that, God doesn’t want us to be slaves of him either. You can pray and have a long prayer, but you are still free to live your life. You are still free to go out and work and talk about other things in life because Jesus wants you to be free.

I feel like Jesus is my voice all the time but that’s just me. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be. I know for a fact that Jesus created us with different personalities and styles so that we can do the things that he told us to do.

So, go out and live your life, just keep Jesus in the mix.

A desire to learn and fail

When you learn something, when you try and do something that you’ve never done before, you are going to fail. No one started out succeeding at everything that they ever did. It takes time to develop into something that is good.

Don’t be scared to fall and fail because only the haters wish they could do what you do every day.

Learning is failing. The only thing is that you have to be willing to get back up after you fail to learn some more. The more you fail, the more you’ll succeed think of it that way.

I’m not saying that you should go out and fail your test on purpose without studying, haha, that would be foolish. But I am saying that if you really want to learn something, then failure is part of the game.

Get used to failing because everyone fails all the time.

Now it’s time for the technical things that you need

WRITING SKILLS:

Of course in order to be an online writer, you need to have the ability to write. If you don’t have the ability to write, then start trying to learn how to write.

I wouldn’t say that I had no idea how to write when I first started this blog, but I was pretty weak.

I wouldn’t let that stop me though.

Sure enough, I started to write and I started to learn and sure enough, I made all of these blog posts.

Internet and computer

If you don’t have an internet connection, go out and get it. If you can’t afford it, go to the local library and use their internet connection and start writing in your blog.

Don’t make excuses as to why you can’t start your own blog, only start working towards making your dreams come true.

And that’s it!

Really it takes a lot of internal “force” in order to write a blog. You have to fight yourself the first few months that you’re not making any money or views. However, the more you blog, the more traffic you’ll get and eventually, you’ll get 100 views a month and it will be easy to write big content in little time.
